Oh yeah he did. 
 

What I like about him is he just wants to defend. He’s also comfortable with the ball too.

But remember guys, he had a poor half against Huddersfield.

Had a good game last night and hopefully keeps his place, 

 

Ricky P will be back for Norwich, I would play him alongside Winks and keep Okoli at RB. 

 

Whilst Okoli isn't great on the ball, he's a solid defender and also adds a physical presence.

Nelson looked solid, looking forward to seeing him in a team that's actually going to require the defenders to defend man on man, I think we'll see his quality become even more apparent then. Bet he wasn't happy when Vesty casually passed it to him about 12 yards out when he was under pressure lol

 

 

Still remember people saying "Thomas had Saka/Salah in his back pocket" Nah... we played 10 at the back so there was no space for those players to operate in.

Watched him closer than most players last night being as it was his first start.

 

His concentration and focus was superb, his reading of the situations he faced too was excellent and definitely a bigger and better presence than Faes. 

 

I found myself with a feeling of a lot more confidence with him in the back four than I ever do with Wout.

 

Great game for saying he's just been thrown in there.

 

Loved his sh*thousery right in the 'Boro corner holding is "injured" calf. lol

He looked good - as expected 

 

We looked better defensively - as expected 

 

He tired late in the second half - as expected 

 

No one in the media asked Marti at FT whether he’s been tactically left out so far this season or he’s been injured - as expected

The silence from OPA and anyone media related regarding Nelson has been bizzare! 

He gave him the armband in pre-season and he looked a shoe in to start majority of games this season

I wouldn’t be as confused if we were top or pushing up there with clean sheets etc. but it was 1 win in 9 before last night 

 

Hopefully now he’ll be a mainstay in the back 4
