Not surprised it's happened, just disappointed again in the club. The club should be representing it's fan base, it's community, not supporting the military.

This is really, really bad. If anyone is still forking out for club merchandise, there’s no excuse for continuing to do so after this.

 

It’s one thing to run the club poorly on the footballing and financial side, to allow the fans to be insulted, to make the fans feel unwanted, ignored and ripped off, etc. But this is way beyond that. States have enough of a stranglehold on the world. To use a local football club as a mouthpiece for military propaganda, that’s absolutely shocking.

 

Personally I wasn’t that outraged by the whole shirt sponsor thing even if it was a bit dodgy, but this is unforgivable.

I called it out in the match thread, in utter disbelief that our club, the scoreboards and the perimeter advertising boards were being used for political/nationalist propaganda that is nothing to do with the people of Leicester. This is a disgraceful new low for our club.

I actually massively disagree with this statement. Some football clubs are naturally political due to the circumstances of their formation, their geographical location or relationship with the establishment. For instance, it's impossible to take the politics out of Celtic, Barcelona, Athletic Bilbao etc. Also, football, like anything is directly influenced by government, so ofcourse it's political!

 

However, Thai propaganda has no place at Leicester City. It does not represent the values or the interest of the supporters or the city of Leicester and the club had no history with Thailand pre-Takeover. I remember people used to say 'respect is a big thing in Thailand' (lol!). Well if that is the case, then maybe they should start by respecting this football club and those who follow it.

Interestingly I think something like this will take balls from people internally.. rather than externally. 
 

Anthony ultimately will have had to make the decision for that to happen today. It’s easy to say from outside but that would be handing notice time in for me personally. 
 

It all comes back to the length of time people have been here, all morals are gone, senior people who know they aren’t qualified to work anywhere else certainly aren’t going to go out of their way to question their big boss!

Anthony would have been told by the high ups (Top via Rudkin) that this was happening and he’d have to make it happen

 

Same way the sponsorship team were told BC.Game was happening without any input

Sheffield Wednesday are obviously a badly run club but we’re not that far behind and this is only going to get worse.
