I agree. And bring to the attention of national media like the BBC.

We need to kick off about this as we don’t want our club connecting with this shit.

If it’s national initiatives such as I think there was when supporting Ukraine, fair enough. But this singles us out. And who actually gives a f*** what Thailand and Cambodia are doing!

Is Sunday's game political?

Us allowing the owls fans to demonstrate against a supposed fellow countryman.

Can we ask the Club who suggested this be shown, and who sanctioned it as being acceptable?

Really? I don’t think we’ll need Columbo to crack this case.

I'm wondering if this is King Power trying to curry favour with the Thai government to negotiate favourable deals on their duty free shops etc.

This is absolutely the case.

Same with the highly visible support for their very weird, very unsavoury royal family that it is illegal to criticise.

Mate of mine wrote to the club after the game asking whether this Thai military propaganda would be continuing - he says there’s been no answer as of yet.

We have been in contact with the Club to express our concern about this.

Statement on our website here and in-full below:

The Foxes Trust has contacted the Club to express concerns that Thai political messaging was displayed in the stadium during the course of the Fiorentina home match.

Whilst the Foxes Trust acknowledges and respects the rights of the Club’s owners to have political beliefs and alignments in Thailand, the Trust does not regard our Club as an appropriate platform upon which to share those beliefs.

Since 1884, and under multiple ownerships, our Football Club has been a treasured part of our local community. As part of our duty as a Trust, we want to ensure that, regardless of who owns our Club, the reputation, integrity and public image of the Club – and safety of match-going fans – not be compromised or impacted by association with any political messaging.

We therefore request that in future the Club is not used as a vehicle to promote any political campaigns.

Glad this is being challenged, the clubs being used as a black market advertising board. Phil

Solid statement. A shame there are still some KPFC Boomers on your Facebook comments who'd happily pressgang their grandkids to the Cambodian border if they thought Top would give them a free donut.

Yes. We have been told it was a one-off with nothing further planned.

Why is there nothing further planned if the club believe it’s the right message?

Can probably get away with it in a friendly but not in an official game

Very much this. The EFL would not be amused in the slightest if the club put up political messaging about an ongoing conflict in a league game.
