I'm fascinated by this comment. What do you mean big blue muff?

Pretty much standard for a leicester forum, Reddit /leicester is about bizarrely 50% derogatory comments about the city of leicester on every post asking advice about anything.

Colour me intrigued, I do like the occasional sour cocktail so I might give a try. Are curries hotter than general?

Only thing you should be having on a match day is a cheese and onion cob and a skinfull

The famous gigantic size ones from the blue boar or duffy’s are the only ones allowed. Tesco cobs gain points for the blue in the signage but lose them for the florest red in there.

As a general comment I would say I love read in about the decent curry places in leicester but the ones that get mentioned the most are usually quite hot curries, even the mild curries. I’d love to go to Bobby’s on Melton road one day but I’ve put if off that often I doubt I’ll go and it might have gone down hill.

maybe Foxestalk should have best curry/food/beer awards ceremony or beer of the pre/post match instead of focusing on the players when they perform poorly.

Some good suggestions here. One to add is Santhi on Grandby Street - so not far from KP and near the train station. Great India/east asian fusion stuff there such as chilli paneer etc. Standard food affair. Been a few times, never really that busy, and mostly see Tigers fans there!

My parents always bang on about the lunchtime deals there.

A massive dosa, about 5 little bowls of different curries and things, and rice. It's about 7 quid, it's always good

I used to get this for lunch when i worked in Leicester. Was about £5 back then (still great value now). Would make me doze off in the afternoon lol

Only been twice but haven’t had a good curry from there yet. Everything else is nice but found the curry’s a bit bland.

And for the veggies, Kayal's sister on Granby St is Herb is excellent - and does do aoochol too!

Another very good veggie place is the Anmol Sweet Centre. The best samosas in town, and the curries are great, particularly the chili paneer and masrandi dhal (?spelling)

They have a takeaway at the Welford Rd, just up from Vicky park rd junction that closes at 1900, and a new shop in Oadby with takeaway and a few tables. It is next to Tipu Sultan and I think both better and half the price.

SK food junction on Loughborough road is an unusual, but a really good take away. It's like a family kitchen with a counter! It's vegetarian, and looks like it caters for events and family gatherings. The chilli paneer and chips is amazing, it's very spicy but unbelievably tasty and you get so much. You can get loads of take away home made bread and japati's.

Worth a stop off if you come in to town that way. We park up on a side street and feast up!

Anyone been to the The72 bar & grill off Burnmoor St near the ground? Saw a few walk up there after the Sheff Wed game.

During match days they serve a limited menu with boxed meals eg chicken curry and rice.  Tasted ok.

Are we settled on the best one in Leicester? City Centre ideally? Did we come to a grounding? Vegetarian fine. BYOB fine.
