I thought of a City team which may not rate too highly in the popularity stakes:

                            Ward

Mattock      Hobbs      Faes    Chilwell

     Wise           Soumaré      J.Lewis

         Musa        Slimani    Ghezzal

 

I'm sure there are a few other gems who have managed  to rile this forum.....

Any suggestions?

In terms of (un)popularity surely Chilwell deserves to be here.

 

That FA cup cupped ears moment is the stuff of legends, cant think of a player our fans love to hate more. Especially considering he came from our academy.

Musa and Ghezzal are harsh too to be fair. They were both just shit. This is in no way my opinion but some people would put Mahrez in this team, which is funny because it would then beat our actual team

Fossils and Foxes mentioned that Alan suffered because of 2 off games in big matches one of which was the 69 Cup Final when he failed to tackle Mike Summerbee . The cross led to the goal. They did say  the Wool gave sterling service in a long career despite this. Apparently he often played well against George Best

Brown and Mills in central defence. Savage ahead of Lewis. Yakubu "all he does is score goals!" instead of Ghezzal.

 

Managed by Brian "Judas" Little. I know we've had much worse managers than him, but he really left under a cloud, considering his relative success.
