Would be shocked if he couldn't get a PL loan/sale after last season but yeah - if that was actually possible, giddy-up. Was the best attacker in the Championship for stretches last season and would make a huge difference for us.

I could see this happening. Tottenham picked him up as a free agent from Shakhtar in 2023 hoping to either find a diamond in the rough or a player they could resell and make a profit off of. Ange didn't rate him and neither does Thomas Frank. His stats were great with Leeds, but they look set on going for Dilane Bakwa from Strasbourg. I suspect he would be available to us for around 10-12 million euros which fits our budget. Tottenham clearly don't want him around, and any sale would be pure profit for them, so I don't see Daniel Levy making it too difficult for us to get his signature. His goal contributions would be a big help to us. Its a yes for me!

Very good player, though would be slightly surprising if we’re targeting a left winger as it’s one of the few positions where we’re well stocked. Unless of course he’s the BEK replacement, but that would be also be odd given Solomon has hardly ever played down the middle…

Yes please, 22g/a some of them incredibly clutch last season.

If this is a loan especially, then I don't see any reason for not doing this. Offers some quality depth or potentially even more than Mavididi. Also helps with not overloading Monga or having to rely on Alves/ BDCR too much.

I think at this stage we are just looking at getting talent in the door.  He is also a clear upgrade on anyone we have.

Interesting watch that we've been linked with a few wingers in the last few days. Have they all been left sided?

Regardless, this would be an excellent loan and one we need to do more of this season. This is the type of business we should be doing.

Plenty of loans yet to be agreed I think, will be opportunities to bring in a few extras.

I hope so. Last time in the championship we had some great loan options that also padded out the squad. These are low risk, and I'm sure there are some talented players just on the fringes of top clubs that would love more first team opportunities with us.

Also, with a manager not afraid to play youth, it's a good selling feature to their parent clubs that we are a great option.

I know people will say we don’t need him etc etc but we don’t know what is happening behind the scenes especially as the window is due to close on Monday.

Maybe a club or two have expressed an interest in Mavididi and the club are looking at potential options (Solomon & Murphy) just in case something develops.

Clubs will have a list of potential targets for each and every position. It could be that enquiries have been made as a contingency ahead of a busy few days

For those who have mentioned him being a winger having never played central etc etc…

marti has spoken a lot about players playing different roles to solve solutions.

i highly suspect that if this comes off we could see mavididi come central, either behind or in front of ayew.

This would be a statement signing for the championship imo! Great winger would love him here but just can’t see it 😂 these 4 as your wingers is best in the division.

Solomon Monga Fatawu Mavididi

Can't see it happening myself.

I imagine would clash with hamza

They’ve both overstepped the mark regarding thier beliefs!

But there’s no place for virtue signalling in football from fans

IF it was a loan with option/obligation replacement for Stephy who moved on at a profit, I would be more than happy with that business.

Mavididi blows hot and cold (plus very light exit rumours)

Monga is the future but he’s not ready to start games over a 36 match campaign

Solomon could be a very shrewd bit of business, I just looked at his stats from last season and his goal contributions were very good

Was unreal at this level last year. Certainly wouldnt say no. Unfortunatley its Ben Jacobs so itll be complete and utter bullshit

Jacobs has been pretty good this window, a lot better than usual anyway.
