We're a bit "spoiled" in central midfield, if this deal does come through.

I'm still expecting one of Skipp, WInks or Soumaré to leave.

Replace the word "spoiled" with the word "ruined"

Isn't it one out (Ndidi) and one in (Jordan)?

I also think Jordan can play as more of a no10, though I'd imagine he'll primarily be Soumare's partner in the middle.

Maybe both midfielders were on standby if we got rid of Winks and/or Soumare?

We're incredibly thin in midfield already though.

Hardly spoiled.

Skipp and Soumare are shite and Winks doesn’t want to play for us

I think nearly every team in the league would swap their midfield options for ours.

i think this leaves us with:

Choudhury Skipp Soumare James Page. So 5 competing for a midfield 3 if we have only signed James on loan and not Ramsey aswell.

Fatawu Monga Mavididi Marcal Evans competing for winger positions. So 2 injuries away from disaster

Carranza Ayew Daka competing for striker position. Which is to say no strikers.

This is a really top signing imo, quality player, young, plenty to prove, good fee, loan deal reduces any risk…

Agree to disagree

Skipp

Winks

Soumaré

Choudhoury

Wanya
Page

Ricardo has also played central midfield in the past (quite successfully, I might add).

We've been playing Skipp and Soumare - it's a horrid midfield even at this level. We absolutely can't rely on that despite their decent performance the other night.

Winks needs to suck it up now as well.

Doesn't look like bray Brooke got a loan out either, so he's still here.

It is possible winks or soumare still goes to turkey, there window closes later than ours. Same with wout.

The Premier League and the English Football League have both set a transfer deadline for Monday, 1 September at 19:00 BST. The deal sheet cannot be used before 17:00 BST and needs to be filled in before the transfer window closes.3 days ago

Cool. Is that from the EFL website?

No, I didn't think so.

Once for those at the back...there are no deal sheets in the EFL.

Fortunately, it sounds like we did it by the 7pm deadline and there just taking their time with announcements (like Souttar a few years back).

Choudhury and Ricardo are right back cover but can both play centre mid if needed and Wanya cannot be seriously thought of in the first team. We have 4 centre mids to choose from realistically if we haven't managed to get James in

Hamza

James

7 players for 3 positions is about right, especially when 1 of them is a 17 year old and we have Ricardo as an option if we need him (if he is available)

We started the last game with a midfield 3 of Soumare, Skipp and Page.

That’s not a midfield that would get us out of the division in my opinion

Has this actually got over the line?

You’re overestimating the quality of the division if you think Soumare and Skipp isn’t a strong double pivot for this level.

I think both he and Ramsey have, but we will have to wait until 9pm.

If we've got both then that's a decent window. If we manage to ditch Winks, Soumare and Faes then superb window

Clearly I must be, but looks like we’ll have to agree to disagree on this one

Don’t forget main man Jordan Ayew in the 10
