I can only assume he's not fully match fit, cos why on earth would Josh Sheehan start ahead of him? He doesn't even start every week in a poor Bolton team

Maybe because they were playing Kazakstan and the manager didn't want to field his strongest team with another match coming up. :dunno:

Do Wales have the luxury of rotation against "weaker" countries?

Although, the Kazakhstan game was a crucial World Cup qualifier and the only other game for them in this break is a home friendly against Canada!

Bellamy will have a multitude of reasons for whatever team he picks that neither me or you know or understand. Clearly, this is no reflection on the young and upcoming player we’ve just signed.

I'm not saying it is any reflection of JJ as he's a miles better player than Sheehan.

Bellers has rotated the midfield quite a lot since he came in. I think he's still at the stage of giving everyone a go and trying to build depth.

He's started JJ more often than not but we've had a number of different combinations.

I wouldn't read anything in to it.

Will be great to see this guy work with Kingy, especially with him being a former Wales international. If he can pickup better his knack of arriving late we should have some midfield at this level

Bit risky considering a local team knocked out the might of Scottish football 😜

Bellamy in his post match interview mentioned that some players were with the squad on Sunday and training across Monday while 'others' didn't join up until Tuesday cos they were busy with a transfer. Only James fits that criteria so it's pretty clear why he didn't start. Neither did David Brooks who's started the season very well.

Bellamy mentioned in his post match presser that he gave a few members of the squad limited minutes as they'd had very little time to train due to deadline day, before a 3500 mile flight and one training session to prepare.

Considering he came in last minute, I'd imagine JJ was one of those players.

"Bellers"

The games gone. I swear it.

I'm afraid calling one of the chippiest ever players a name that sounds like he's a good sort down the local pub grates with me. Bellamy had more chips than a joiner's workshop.

Seriously, please tell me no-one really calls him Bellers? :S

🤣

Oh, I know.  Bellers just makes him sound like a bloke down the local rugby club.  Not my recollection of Bellamy!

That's all. It's Friday night. I've unwound. Just chillin.

Like his entire career?

What a weird reaction.

I know sometimes players just say what they think is the right thing to say.

But having players that actually want to be here will make a huge difference. And he comes across as genuine.

Same with the manager :scarf:
