I'll be genuinely surprised if Ayew isn't in the next few starting lineups at least.

Nailed on to start at Oxford imo. Only question is where.

Carnage if he is a winger

I’m looking forward to watching forward passes and our wingers won’t have to drop to the half way line with their backs to goal.

This signing should improve Monga, Mav and Fatawu as they will be receiving the ball further up the pitch.

If Marti insists on playing Ayew, just avoid him in any sort of build up and we should be fine.

Assume Ayew will be transitioned out of the line up over several months, and even then he will feature on occasion due to injuries/fitness.

He only a year left, sure we can tough it out :)

Just see him as the answer to have a box to box 8 who can give us physicality, his a decent height and gets around the pitch.

It going to be interesting to see how the midfield 3 is constructed going forward.

We have lots of options now with Soumare, Skipp, James, Ramsey, Page and Winks.

I'd be looking to off load Winks to Turkey or Saudi.

I agree. I'd be concerned if we go a midfield three of Soumare, Skipp and James against most opposition but if we land upon one DCM with a box to box role from James and then Ramsay slightly more advanced then it should give us that balance.

It won't surprise me if, in the next month or so, he gets picked ahead of both Mavididi and Monga to start LW if Ramsey is playing 10.

It will be a long season if we have to keep seeing the young progressive players bomb forward, into clear space only for Ayew to turn his back to goal, weave back and forth then fall over.

I'd keep Winks. He'll be needed for rotation with/to cover any injuries to Soumare when the fixtures pile up.

I don't think Skipp and James can do that role.

I'd have one of Skipp/Soumare as the 6 and the two you have suggested.

Such a much better blend

Asked my blue nose mate about him, he really rates him. Says he was easily their best player along side Stansfield that season. Said he’s got maturity beyond his years, energetic, tidy and has a decent shot on him. He said he’s a lot like KDH, very similar profile, with probably slightly better technical ability.

Watching him, I’d say he’s definitely cut from the same cloth as KDH. He also said he’s got a good attitude too, when even when they were losing games and in the pits he would always give 100, and never once moped around sulking.

Yeah KDH is very much who he reminded me of, bit of an all action midfielder that can play.

Easily the pick of the signing and one i'm very excited about. Ramseys stats from the champ look great from 3 seasons back as well, if he manages to stay injury free then that's 2 brilliant attacking options who have proven they can perform very well at this level.

Just watched his intro video.

Seems very down to earth and just genuine. Like he actually wants to be here and make a difference and not just pick up a paycheck for average and mediocre performances.

From everything I've read and watched about him, he just seems like someone who really "enjoys his football", to use the old cliché. Just wants to be on the pitch and making things happen, adding positivity and driving the team forward. All qualities we desperately need. Quite excited to see what he can do.

The exact type of personality we need at the club. Considering his talent as well it looks like an excellent addition.

having watched 2 jordan james compilation videos and seen him when we beat them 3-2. I am convinced he is the second coming of Izzet and lennon combined. he is definitely someone we can get behind more than soumare, skipp and characters like ****ing mendy who was the equivalent of a fifa player if 3 of the buttons available to control his movements had been smashed on the controller.
