If tomorrow's game shows consistent quality from both sides, I'll be amazed.  This league is the pits for quality.

If we turn up, we win.  Next.

Not sure why Sky Blues finds it funny, it’s a fact but the fear is we haven’t turned up yet this season.

I sense another Birmingham on the cards.

Fact of the matter is, the playoff final last season was woeful in terms of level of quality.

There's nothing to fear at all, if we turn up.

Also Coventry have never had a player as good as Fatawu never mind Banks, Lineker, Kante, Mahrez, Vardy.

Their legends are Peter Ndlovu and Gary McSheffrey. No matter the result tomorrow they’ll remain a pitiful club curtained in self delusion of an FA cup disappearing into the rear view of their grandad’s memories - ours was 4 years ago. Prior to that we won the league 9 years ago. We’ve won the second tier 8 times which is small

fry, they’ve done it once.

The best thing that has happened to them in on most of their lifetimes was beating us in a league game.

I don’t get this attitude - I personally don’t hate Derby but it’s still a big game because for other Leicester fans it is. There’s mutual dislike between fanbases. That’s how football rivalries work - it’s what they feel about us so as one we hate them back.

It doesn’t matter where you’re from in the county these are big games and Cov fans are c unts so ergo it’s a big game.

The gatekeeping and trivialising is silly and not befitting of a club that has been on the other foot so many time. Come on Leicester.

I think this is it.

Forest are the pits for me, then this lot, then Derby. Which is probably an unusual order for someone from the north of the county, but then I can't remember a time when Derby were anything besides an easy three points and someone Bernie used to take the piss out of while standing in a pile of horse shit. If they ever win against us and rub it in, I might think different, but there's less fire to our games with us than the other two IMO.

I still look forward to all three games.

If you turn up you win? Yes I did find that funny. You've been winning games without turning up if I am to believe what I've read on here.

Football isn't as simple as that. We totally outplayed Watford last game. They scored with their only shot on target. We had over 50 touches in their penalty area. We had 15 blocked shots mostly in their penalty area. We didn't equalise until the 96th minute.

My thoughts, it will be a very tough game. A local derby. Both teams will do well this year in the championship. It’s tough to call but if one team goes one goal up in the first half, then the other team will have to score. And then whoever scores more goals than the other team will win the match and get 3 points as apposed to 1 point or none.

Highly possible we go second with a win by the way. Time to turn it on and stamp our mark, fingers crossed. :fc:

I think of the three cities around us, Coventry fans are the most likely to have shagged their sibling

And I say that as a fan who puts Derby above Forest and then these as our biggest rivals

To be fair I’ve always found it weird how Cov fans refer to us as “incester” etc, when no other fanbase seems to have this view of the area, not even Notts. It’s not like we’re any more rural either, the cities are the same size. Seems like they randomly generated an insult for us.

It’s bizzare.

You only have to take a look at our fanbases as a whole and you can see quite comfortably who’s got the stronger gene pool.

I think it’s just a bit of a pun tbh, it’s slight projection considering Coventry and their catchment area have been strongly considered to be the setting of the new fallout tv series(which I have on good authority)

If you don’t care personally that’s fine, but let’s not lower ourselves and do what that lot up the road do and start obsessively telling everyone, it’s embarrassing, enough of our fans do care plenty for it to be a big game, they’re probably beneath Forest for most disliked but they’re not a million miles behind in reality.

On the other hand, I do think the Derby “rivalry” is pretty much dead as it stands, it doesn’t seem like many of our fans at all are bothered by them now, to be honest they aren’t that bothered about us either, seems like it’ll only be people from areas with an overlap of fans who will care all that much about that one.

Totally wrong. If we win I'll say my view and will be gone. If you win and you deserve the win I will say so. Just the same as if one of us gets a lucky win.

I'm not a troll. I've been respectful whatever insult has come my way. I love football and talking about football and hope to come across the same. But if Leicester City are the best side in the world on here and opponents views are not welcome at all I will happily leave you alone to your own views. After all I am only a visitor and not a supporter.

Can’t agree with this.collectively I think our supporters are about the most self deprecating out there. Despite our achievements over the last decade, many are still determined for us to be ‘little old Leicester’. Hey, many seem to think League 1 is our rightful place which is odd given we have spent one season there since 1884 lol

Visiting supporters are also, on the whole, made very welcome on here, particularly dare I say it, compared to your own forum. We have regular contributors from many clubs, such as Watford, Wolves, Burnley, Notts County to name a few. Yes, there will always be a few bites but I haven’t seen anything much back in your direction to be fair.

Anyway, I’m personally worried about the game. You have built as strong a side as you have had in a long time and we are still a mixed bag. We have some talented players but also some very average ones. What Cifuentes has done is seemed to have got them on side and battling harder as going into the season, I was thinking a lack of effort would be our downfall. But we still look disjointed. I suspect we will get stronger but this might come too soon. We lack a proper striker as well unless the new guy Carranza turns out to be good.

This is it for me. I am from N/W Leicestershire, Donington way. I don’t know any Cov fans and genuinely, it didn’t register for me as a big game previously.

But we are in a more digital world where you see things from other supporters without needing to know them and following us coming down a couple of years ago, I saw that for many of our fans it is a much bigger game and how gobby Cov fans can be. So although it doesn’t mean as much to me directly (in that I don’t have Cov fans to go into work to), I want us to win as it does matter still.

It all seems very ‘Forest’ to be honest.

I’d agree with this.

I very much dislike Forest being from NWL. They are just a vile club with a fan base to match.

Cov and Derby no doubt have their moronic element but are good fan bases who have stuck by during very troubled times. I’ll give Cov and the fact they had barely any a few years ago that seem to have grown now, the benefit of the doubt that it was due to protesting against the SISU ownership and having to play in Birmingham/Northampton as it’s not like they didn’t have good support in the past.

You’re right about Derby but not even sure there’s a cross section who are really bothered now. I was from as close as possible to Derby whilst being in Leicestershire. I went to school and played football in Castle Donington with loads of Derby supporters. Yeah it was fun to win when we play but they are just a ‘nice’ fan base who it’s hard to dislike. I know I said they must have moronic element above but I have not seen it even through those I know or otherwise.
