Spider Kalac. Dropped crosses, looked like a comp winner. Only appeared again in play off final to fill the goal for penalties that thankfully never happened.

Ironically went on to have a good career after leaving us.

Casino Jimmy, watched him in Notts County friendly in the 00's. Never had a real debut.

Rab Douglas, shocking debut I think from memory at Sheffield Utd. Never got better.

Me v Ashby Grammar. Let in 6 and hooked off after 60 mins. Never to appear again.

Christ we have had some shocking keepers along with some of the world's best.

Junior Lewis. Because he went on to play 24 more times for us after his debut.

It’s hard to remember, but Junior Lewis originally joined on loan and wasn’t too bad… then we signed him permanently and he was a complete donkey.

Shit. Forgot that!

At least we weren't the only ones to suffer from his inadequacies.

Remember when the infamous Dave Hockaday got appointed Leeds Manager by that crazy Italian owner? Guess who Hockaday appointed as assistant coach, picking him up from his safe place, Hendon (who were in the eighth tier at the time)? Yep.

Didn’t Dion Dublin get sent off on his debut vs West Ham over 20 years ago now.

He turned out to be totally shite for us

He turned out to be a shining light amongst what was a really poor era for us.

Ricardo disnt have a very good debut at all v Wolves. Took him a good couple of months to get into English football

I remember early doors he was terrible Vs Bournemouth as well - that Ryan Frazer had him on toast.

Just shows debuts and early performances are not a direct correlation with a players subsequent achievements.

Definitely in our worst XI of all time, but I find it harder to criticise him now. A friend met him at a wedding about 10 years ago and said he was a really nice guy.

My mate introduced himself as a Leicester City supporter and Lewis was entirely self deprecating, apologising for being nowhere near good enough to play for us!

Obviously nobody in his situation would have turned down the move, even if you knew you were going to flop.

Family of West Ham fans as well apparently.

I remember Ben Mee had a nightmare, on loan to us, think it was vs Millwall. Conceded a penalty and they were beating him for fun, I thought “he can’t be this s**t” coming from Man City. I believe now it was a nerves thing and fair play he’s having a decent career.

Spider Kalak, away to West Brom then his home debut v Bolton just as bad if not worse.Mate, it’s called a ball.

Mark Grew vs Notts County. “Yay we’re promoted, can’t wait to see how we get on.” Then day one, “Where’s Wally ( Wallington)? In his place a new signing that no-one wanted or needed, any momentum we had from promotion fell flat that day but Wallington got back in and we stayed up, I think it was a contractual dispute?

I remember that game against Notts well. It was the first (and last time) my wife went with me to see City, and, if I remember right, we lost 0-4, with Trevor Christy getting a hat trick and Martin O'Neil the other. Just my luck I missed the return at Meadow Lane due to the imminent birth of our first child, and we beat then 2-5 when Lineker got a hat trick 😧

Dublin lived on Filbert Street yet seems to have absolutely no real connection with the club which I always found strange.

Yeah, only his brother is a city fan.
