Yeh man. I long for the days of madcap entertaining football under Pardew, allardyce, moyes, Dyche, Iain dowie, Steve Bruce. It was all out attack back then

Objectively a better watch than this generation though

After dyer scored the winner we waited to see how he was and where I was sitting, no one was certain that the goal stood. The relief of dyer being ok and the ref pointing to the restart was overwhelming.

Same, I was in the NW corner wondering if we'd scored, was he injured. Nerve wracking few mins.

League was much more interesting though

Even though United dominated you never had the kind of processions we’ve seen from City and Liverpool the past 10 years

Nathan Dyer must be the luckiest loanee in premier league history, came in thinking he would be joining a side that will be battling relegation... to then walk away with a premier league winners medal back to Swansea. Such a shame we didn't sign him full time in the summer.

I remember my wife coming in while I was watching it at 2-0 and saying 'oh dear, that's not good'. My response was 'there's no way we are losing this'. I can't remember the last time I saw us 2 down and even hoping we could get back in it, let alone being convinced we would

So many times that season we went down or conceded and you just weren't bothered, you knew we would score and win.

I can remember the feeling, unconcerned just 'we've got this'.

Had similar moments with my wife 'no chance we lose this, not happening'

To be fair Pep's style is great to watch when its a team that attacks with possession and a lot of quality like his Barca 09-11 or recent Man City teams.

Its the death by possession bang average teams who have ruined football thinking its the way to play.

Barcelona weren't great to watch.

They were the best team of all time, hands down. Nobody comes close.

And they scored great goals, absolutely.

But Jesus they were boring 95% of the time.

That Nathan Dyer goal should go down as a hugely pivotal goal in that season. We had a little early season momentum but the turnaround in the match gave us huge belief and impetus. And the fact he put himself out for ages scoring it as a loan player.... He probably deserves more from us for that.

And yet all the ‘proper football men’ will hate:

1) Clappers

2) ‘Soul-less’ identikit bowl.

Proof that none of it matters.

Well, it does matter, those are separate issues and disliked for reasons other than simply the volume of noise.

It was utterly horrendous entertainment though. Turgid football. Shown by the fact jay jay okocha was so revered. He’s probably about as entertaining as Semenyo or Mitoma, two players who will be forgotten as soon as they leave the league

One of my favourites. 2 nil up and you fcuked it up...

It's the ultimate.

Made even better by Tim Sherwood's sulky kid non responsive interview afterwards.

I'm on a real downer at the moment and I'm going to revisit to give myself a quick boast of joy.

It's no exaggeration to say if we don't win this, we don't win the league.

We were dreadful for most the match but the way we could comeback into games early in that season just gave us an unreal belief.

Kante really was that important when he come in. I don't like to compare who was most important because even the likes of Simpson were so good, but Kante was just another level to anyone.

I remember one game, l was sat at the back of one the stands & just watched Kante for about 5 mins. The amount of ground he covered was unreal, it was like having 12 players.

Up there with our best ever signings.

I was following the match day thread on a train from Edinburgh - Peterborough and at 0-2 people were complaining that Ranieri was destroying all the good work Pearson had done.

Little Nathan Dyer. What a star

Swansea reserve, binned, gives his all for us and later shows up for training in South Wales with a "Whassup bitches" dangling a Premier League winners medal in front of their jealous faces.

The context to that is actually even more mad. His partner had the time had a relationship with someone involved high up at Swansea, so he wanted to get out ASAP

I was going to say that there's no way this was 10 years ago, but I've checked, and it was, so I won't.
