He could have been playing every single minute of every single game this season and as soon as someone like Man Utd or Arsenal came in he would've been gone

Maybe a bit of a better chance of keeping hold of them in the Championship (which probably would've just ended up with us getting more money) but realistically there is absolutely no chance in League One

Man Utd are pretty good at getting young players out on loan as well and as long as he rates himself which I imagine he does why wouldn't he make that move

Maybe not but we would have had a better chance if we had made him feel like a valued member of the squad.

The only draw we have over clubs higher in the pyramid is a route to regular first team football but we don't operate that way.

Forgetting the money and prestige of Man United, Page probably has a better chance of game time by going there and getting a loan than he does by sticking it out here.

Sorry Man Utd they made me feel a valued member of the squad so I’ll turn down the triple wages and the prestige of playing for one of the worlds most famous football clubs and stay at Leicester. Tripe

Yep his interview of wanting to play a lot this season and be the guy clearly fell on deaf ears for RM who has marginalised him. Really depressing but reality of how low our lowest point will get, and this isn’t it yet

The season kicks off next week btw.

Heard from a mutual friend that Braybrooke and his family aren’t keen on him sticking around long term anyway

We’re the mugs then that stuck around through his rehab when he didn’t kick a ball for 12 months and extended his contract.

Extended the contract of an asset on likely very little money who we would have made pure profit on had we decided to cash in at any point post injury though. Obviously means nothing if he goes for free mind lol

This is concerning I heard Nelson has been desperate to leave for about a year now. The fact our best prospects want out before any concrete links is very concerning

Weird attitude to the academy lads again from you

We can't moan about the system when we feed it by loaning Mukasa from Man City and sending our own talent back to the U21s.

This is just karma for the club.

Its more the financial constraints imposed by the system.

Maybe getting a bit more use out of them before they are sold would be beneficial

That would be good. But the system is set up so that young talent are just hoovered up by the big six...

Can't blame him wanting to leave when he's behind Skipp here.

That's the issue. I think players have no problem if those being picked are performing. But at various times he's had Skipp, Winks and Mukasa playing ahead of him, and we've been relegated. This season he should've been a starter.

Letting him go makes absolutely no sense. League One should be a massive springboard for him and a chance to get some real game time. But if RM keeps him out and ends up stifling his potential, who are we to stay in his way?

I don't think you can blame Skipp for Page not playing. Page isn't a 6.

He wants to go to a bigger club and probably get paid more. It's the food chain, it happens. I think even if he was playing regularly, he'll jump at the chance to go to a top premier League side.

It's just the way it works, if we were in the championship I think his game time would have been even more limited.

We just have to accept it, whether we like it or not, we are there to be picked at, we did it to lesser clubs than us, What's the difference?

if they are good enough at 18+ for big clubs to even show half an interest - they should be playing in a league 1 side.

sadly, we are stuck with useless cretins signed when we were in the prem, or worse.

Not what I've heard. Same on the Braybrooke claim

I did say that money and prestige played a factor.

It's just that we're also not giving ourselves the best chance of making the young players want to be at the club.

I'd say it's a fairly weak source (won't say for obvious reasons so I also wouldn't expect anyone to take it seriously). Said in another thread that he's basically open to a move but not been trying to force it through. Kind of makes sense.

If Braybrooke gets good game time, would expect him to re-sign. Think he was a bit frustrated he wasn't given a few more opportunities but this is his club and that's a heavy pull

What that someone wants out after playing a few friendlies for us and we have been paying his wages for the best part of 5 years  including a year out. Hardly controversial opinion of the year is it.

I regularly slag off Nelson but I’m part of a long line that also does.

If we are mid table in the PL then Page and Monga develop for a few years here.

Why would you bother when we are a league one club?

Easy decision for them. Our drop impacts all areas of the club.

If we're a mid-table PL team, Monga and Page would have been loaned to a league 1 team.

If Page goes, he's getting less game time than if he stays and will end up being loaned out, maybe back to us, same as Monga he'll also be loaned out IMO.

Or maybe he's been pushing for a move all summer and Martin has been told he's off if a good offer comes in.

That to me makes more sense because not prioritising him in the predicament we are in is madness.
