Correct. But even if we have the wage bill (unlikely) where's the money coming from? We've spent the parachute money.

They need the cash desperately. No sales = no cash for running costs. They can't even afford to pay stewards' food vouchers FFS.

We'll have to learn to live to our means. If that means offloading more experienced players then so be it. Likely Fatawu goes then if not January.

Isn't this one of the reasons for Seagrave? A way to generate funds, we just have to learn to seeing prospects go as a consequence.

Heard something interesting over Christmas, straight from a well known figure from the footballing world who 99% of football fans would have heard of. Not naming him directly out of respect. He does not have  Leicester connections in anyway so this has not come directly from our club.

He is part of a club who made contact with Louis Page representatives in the summer but for whatever reason it went no further than that.

he has been made aware that the club would be willing to listen to offers for Louis in January or the summer if any came in. He was quite clear that he has not been offered Louis but it is being touted around that the club have made it clear if the right offer came in they would sell.

made me think, we played Louis in the opening games of the season,  then once he signed a pro deal he disappeared abit. He’s now back around the squad. Did we play him to get him to sign? Are we now planning to play him to get some interest

🤔🤔

No that's not true.

He didn't disappear, he was bumped down by the signings of Jordan James and Ramsey, and BDR came back from injury.

He's been on the bench more recently because of injuries elsewhere. And it's great to see him getting minutes.

Louis Page is excellent man… has to start the next game. A class act on the ball.

Not to say we shouldn't be seeing more of him, but whilst he was tidy on the ball today I didn't see anything that wasn't sideways.

That was a colossal improvement on BdcR tho,.right?

Played plenty of forward passes? Even some of those 'sideways' ones were super quick and sprayed out into space in a way no other player can do for us.

Tidy and sideways is at least better than BCDR getting the ball stuck under his feet.

He also did more than pass sideways in the limited minutes he was on, helped us get up the pitch and pin back Sheffiled United for a sustained period.

Whilst i'm a big fan of Page, Reid scores goals. He was muck tonight but we have a scant amount of players able to contribute to goals. Page deserves a start but if he can't bring goals then bar James there's not many other areas we get them from and will lose even more games than we already are.

Reid scores more than Ndidi but we were better off with Ndidi as an attacking midfielder under Maresca because he's got more to his game and helped the other players play to their potential.

We just cant continue on this cycle of winning 3-1 then losing 3-1 depending on if players like Reid score or not. Having actual midfielders in midfield who protect the defense, control the game and also support the attackers is the only way for us to find consistency in this league. That period when Page came on and we were able to consistently sustain pressure on Sheffield United is what we need to be doing first, then we can worry about converting that pressure into goals, maybe that might mean sticking BCDR on the wing instead of Mavididi.

Cordova Reid sadly doesnt have the technical ability required to play midfield in this league to a consistent level.

Play Page alongside JJ instead of Skipp then you can still have Reid at 10 (or preferably a fit Rambo.) Page plays the 6 role for England u18’s very effectively.
