No nobber ready to pounce requires any such excuse.

Although with a head so empty, find it generally best not to plant seeds in case something takes root.

I'm hoping that's sarcastic or you just haven't seen him play? If there's one thing that might hold him back on current showings, it's that he's incredibly one footed (left footed to be clear! :D)

His passing wasn't great early in the season but I didn't really pay attention as to which foot he was using, neither looked great, but he's improving!

Being a lefty myself I usually notice these things 😬

I always find it odd players aren't more 2-footed, it really should be a thing in the academies:dunno:

Never hurt KDH to be fair.

One of my pet peeves. Like you, I don't understand how they can't be better. Only the absolute best of the best can get away with it and they still use the weaker foot when needed.

Obviously he was/is pretty one footed but it's massively overblown just how much. Page looks much more 1 footed than KDH but he's also clearly a better technician and his balance/agility will allow his to shift it onto his left without slowing things down too much.

Yeah I'm a lefty too. Incredible how many players are painfully one footed and tie themselves in knots sometimes or have to make a negative turn because they don't trust their weaker foot.

Being a left footer it makes perfect sense to have him in the team.

Last time out in the championship, one of the reasons Mavididi and Fatawu were so potent imo was the space created by underlapping runs from Ndidi and KDH. We haven’t had that this season.

Play Page left and JJ right of a midfield three and give them license to get forward with Skipp holding. Our wingers won’t get doubled up as much as a result.

Just too obvious isn’t it? I haven’t bashed Cifuentes as much as others but for all the faults in the squad, and for the good he has done like banish Winks and Faes, this supposed system is not getting the best out of what he has. In terms of the midfield and forwards, a return to that part of Maresca’s system would help.

Absolutely spot on. I've been banging on all season about this - we don't need our wing backs to overlap if our midfielders are coached properly to make the correct runs.

Are they the same owners, developing a generation of talent, as those that couldn’t organise a night in a brewery?

A spade is a spade. I see what I see, and at this moment in time, you could be rubbish at a job, and actually get some work done.

Other than Monga, I agree from what I've seen so far.

Page has taken to being a team player really well, whereas Monga still plays like he’s the best player and can do everything, but most of time ends up playing like Mav. Once he learns he can run into space to advance and the tricks are to get out of trouble rather than the main method, he will be something else.

That’s down to the manager and the coaches instilling zero tactics and discipline into them.  He will be amazing when he has been taught how to play on a team that uses his natural ability.

Yet they focus heavily on the slow boring part that has constantly caused problems this season. Walking football to blast the ball to Ayew and get countered.

Really excited to see him come into the team more.

We miss him when he's not playing, we typically play best when him and S.Thomas are on the pitch.

The youth players coming through really is this seasons saviour. Just hope we can keep them developing and put some more investment in when we move some of the big earners on so supplement them.

Is looking better with each and every minute he plays, I would change shape and go 4-3-3 and have Page playing as a high 8 alongside JJ with Skipp in holding role. He is a special special talent. I would have him starting now. We ain’t going up so focus on younger players to gain experience and develop, show them there is belief and the pathway to be first team regulars for the next 2/3 years before their inevitable move to bigger and better clubs.

Looked really good when coming on. Pick of the young ones coming through. He looks to be getting better and better, with the more minutes he gets.

Him and Monga need to be given 5 games at least and not dropped whatever. He's got so much class

Page definitely, he looks ready. Monga has looked like a boy playing mens football (which of course he is) in his recent cameos.

Looks 3-4 years older than he is (in the nicest possible way)!!! Great composure, positional play and battling as well as his obvious quality. I’m a big fan!

That reverse through ball at the end was beautiful. Takes a lot of balls to pull that off at the stage of the game he did.

I love a brave player

Shame about the missed header because everything else he did was either composed or impressive. Just start him and give him experience for next season.

He is going to be so good. First team starter next season i hope. He's got it all. Such a shame our promising youngsters have such a poor culture around them.
