Well that was so disappointing. But at 1-0 up the game is never out of the opponents reach. Absolutely dominated but that’s no good when you can only muster up one shot on target. Played some lovely football at times but that counts for nothing. 
 

Yet again, every single one of their chances came from us trying to be too intricate or clever. We are yet again, way too easy to play against. Sit in deep, knowing exactly what we are going to do, then try and hit us on the break.

 

We looked a lot sharper with Daka starting and being a bit more direct. I think going in at half time we were so comfortable but then we came out for the second half and the same intensity wasn’t there.

Silly game to throw away really as we had been comfortable all night until the goal. Lucky for us every game bar one or 2 a week seem to end in a draw so we are not much worse off than the start of the game. Still think we will click soon but I don’t want to see skipp on the pitch again or ayew near another corner or free kick ever again what a waste that was at the end . One bad corner ok it happens. 3 in a row in a few mins is unacceptable

Any team we play would have worked out that with our defence sooner or later we will make unnecessary stupid errors and gift them chances which they don't have to work for

There were some positives in tonight's performance, but I fear I'm falling out of love with the sport.

Agree, Skipp looks so off the pace, like his arthritis is getting worse.

 

I thought VK's passing was a lot crisper and he supported Monga better. There is more quality there than Thomas, but he's still too weak defensively.

Wrexham fan - always like to see opposition views after we play them:

I thought you outclassed us in the first half without really threatening. Jordan James is a very good midfielder (see him a lot for Wales) and he dominated our midfield. Tidy finish, maybe slightly disappointing from our GK Okonkwo.

First half your passing was positive and forwards and then second half it was all very safe and constantly side to side - your midfield were like crabs at times!

 

Jordan James seemed to move position second half (further forwards?) which together with Matty James coming on for us allowed us to get our foot on the ball for the first time. 

Monga looks a very, very good player, I was relieved when your manager took him off. In a way, it was as if he thought the game was done and he could be rested?
 

That Vestegaard and Faes at the back are honking though - you can’t be getting outmuscled by a 5’8 little lad like O’Brien. How does Faes play for Belgium?  
 

I’ve seen some comments about us not being in control but as much as our manager Parky gets a slot of stick, we’re very good against team who play this Pep ball nonsense. Always low possession but always in a good shape and good on the counter.

 

A draw probably a fair result considering the chances we had late on.
 

Good luck for the rest of the season, apart from when you play us, obviously.

Ayew - I’m sick of seeing his laid back attitude when we have 90seconds left need a goal and he can’t even hit the 6 yard box. Why do we keep letting him take set pieces? He’s abysmal at dead ball scenarios.

 

Carranza - poor touches, not sure he did anything memorable 

 

Skipp - seems a complete lost cause. Would’ve been happy to see Bouba and that’s saying something.

Honestly thought Wrexham were going to win at the end. I’m so sick of the same ****ing idiots letting us down every year. Vestergaard might be good on the ball, but he is a pathetic excuse of a defender. Wtf was Kristiansen doing too? Both being out muscled by 4 ft 9 Lewis O’Brien.

Neat and tidy in the middle third of the pitch. Awful in the other thirds. We need to be more proactive in making stuff happen, I'm happy to take some losses and draws if watching us is more fun. We're certainly not good enough defensively to hold on to 1-0 leads. Lots of work for Marti to do.

We look like a team that has no strategy of how we are meant to attack in the final third.

 

Under Enzo we had two No. 8s who constantly made runs forward into the box(KDH and Ndidi), we also had Vardy who was a constant threat penetrating in behind (and even Daka under Enzo did that). Furthermore, every time one of our wingers got the ball and looked to cut inside, the winger on the other side would attack the back post or arrive on the edge of the box. 

 

 

This season so far, no one seems to make runs into the box from midfield or even upfront. We are so easy to defend against in the final third.

 

It's early days so hopefully the players aren't implementing Marti's attacking strategy yet, rather than Marti not being able to coach an attack....

People cheering the Daka sub don’t understand football. We looked so much better having a striker who was making runs, pressing hard and generally acting like a no.9 should. He’s not perfect but he worked his balls off and got a great assist.

 

Ayew on the other hand showed what he’s about when he came on.

Just back from the game and that’s broadly my opinion too, the game was essentially a story of two centre backs Vestergaard constantly losing his duels, for such a big guy he’s easily pushed of the ball, Daka was just Rag Dolled most of the game by their centre half and Ref was just oblivious to it, people can blame the subs but I think without that mistake from Vestergaard we still win that game
