Marti’s almost got his best XI going, just one defeat all season, without being at our best.

Personally think things have been improving, and we’re ready to make a might bid!

I have no doubt we have a lot of fans here who revel in us losing and seeing others genuinely upset or angered. I have sat next to plenty like it at the ground too. Jeering players like Lloyd Dyer and Nacho and looking almost sad when they scored. It's such a weird mentality from some. 

 

Can only assume they don't have very good lives and turning up to see others unhappy is a hobby for them.

Somebody on here said this on the eve of season - Only one team can stop us, and that's ourselves. Or words to that effect. 

 

I had the same sentiment then and still do now. It's ours for the taking. If, big if, we want it

Marti is saying all the right things and looks like he really wants to be here. If we can convince him that we're going in the right direction, if we haven't lied to him and don't spring any nasty surprises on him a week before the transfer window, this could be a bit of a slow reset.

 

More signings like Jordan James who are bloody good but not too big for their boots.

 

Move on the prima donnas and the overpaid, overhyped guys who haven't pulled up many trees and we'll be laughing.

 

We could do it this season, it could take two or three seasons but - as I'm feeling optimistic - this could be the start of another good period for us.

Dare I say, Marti has just about found his best starting line-up. Doesn't have the complete 90 minutes yet but getting there, we are also scoring more goals in open play and got 7 points out of our last 9. You call that good recent form. Green shoots.

 

Oh, and no Winks? No Faes? No Soumaré?

No problem. Sell them all in January and recoup some money for all I care.
