The board won’t like that performance. Remember coopers last game was that Chelsea game where we had very little possession and sat back. I reckon he’ll be gone tomorrow

We got it right defensively because we were so deep. Even then we still conceded a sloppy goal and Vestegaard nearly gifted them one.

Carranza is ****ing awful. I'd rather play Faes upfront.

I would be well up for that tbh

I think if we lose or draw to Norwich on Saturday, he's out. And I would agree with it. I'm not even expecting top 2. Deduction aside I'd take top 6, not too much to ask for from a newly relegated side

Tbh I think the players have put a shift in last two games.

Blackburn we created more than I can recall all season but utterly fell apart.

Tonight I can't argue with the effort, we are struggling with having any skill, but would've been a decent result, albeit a very workmanlike performance.

I think people need to accept we have terrible players. Maybe half a team of decent championship players at most, and that's pushing it.

The problem is, what board appoints a manager like Enzo… then appoints Cooper? and expects results. After Cooper they go for RVN while in a relegation battle with barely any experience. It’s a disaster at the top

Yup it is scatter gun

I've thought for a while that he's not up to it, but conversely I also do have a lot of sympathy for him. Imagine flagging to the board that we're in desperate need of a striker, and their solution to the problem is to sign Carranza. I do feel for him in that regard, but I also think he's been very questionable tactically and hasn't helped himself at times.

Came across this comment on the Southampton forum the other day, I think we’re in the exact same territory.

Cifuentes might be a nice enough guy, but I think we’re seeing that he’s too inexperienced to pick a relegated team off the floor. We’re also seeing why he had two mid-table finishes at QPR, he may prove me wrong at some point, but at this moment in time he looks like a mid-table/bottom half Championship manager.

We need experience or someone with a history of winning things, ideally a combination of both would be perfect.

But does anyone trust this board to get it right? If they are still adamant on possession based football, they’ll just turn to Martin or Carrick.

What ain’t helping is the way he describes in pre season how we would go for the kill when winning 1-0, press loads, lots of youth involved. We look polar opposite v how we played fiorentina

have seen none of it

Maybe in preseason he was going on the fact we've just been relegated from the PL and he thought we had some quality in the squad, but obviously the reality is completely different.

I don't want to sack another manager, but as each week passes we look increasingly worse.

I don't know why that is, he's chopped and changed the lineup quite alot, dropped players after bad performances, maybe upset a few egos. We don't look a happy camp or Marti just can't coach.

We have to get rid of the dead wood and high earners before we can even think about a rebuild.

So unless we're in serious danger of relegation I would keep him until at least the end of the season, and then re-evaluate if he's the right man to trust with the task.

On a positive Ben Nelson looked good tonight and has to keep is position.

I get the he had no money to spend but he must have signed up knowing that.

We just look terrible as much as I dislike most of the squad, he isn’t getting the most out of it.

Get him gone.

It's such a tough one as the players do shoulder so much of the blame and ever since Enzo it's just got worse.

Ironically, Cooper would have probably been the man for us now.

If you cut Marti, where do you go to replace? Do you promise them January money or say "this is the squad, make do"? Then you're potentially steering off good candidates

It wasn't a 0-4 defeat.

Exactly. Just a complete scattergun approach. The West Brom manager was the natural fit but they were too tight to pay his compo

Are you saying because we didn't lose its ok?

He's not getting sacked after drawing with 2nd in the table.
