I have a feeling something happened in the changing room at HT last w/end, the fight shown in the 2nd half was different to what we have seen thus far & the changes made…he’s hoping the CB penny has dropped & they realise they need to put a shift in and not just turn up

I’m a witch 😉

Hopefully this is more like the style of play Marti wants us to play, something has not felt right ever since after the Fiorentina friendly. Today seems much more like it let’s hope for a decent 2nd half performance and shut the game out

His gamble may have worked.

He may now be ousted due to not protecting the value of our 'assets' re Winks and Faes, but at least he can still leave with his head held high in that scenario.

Hope he sticks to his guns.

Struggling to care whilst we still have Top and Rudkin running the show, for me they are "the" problem.

But I would be surprised if he is anywhere near the sack at the moment.

It is the 2nd half that is an example of the issues with Marti as a manager - we are better than this and we will continue this negative momentum in the 1st half at Bristol City

Let's give him credit for making a couple of big decisions in leaving out Feas and Winks.

Good to see him.bring the young players on.

Let's hope this is the turning point👏👏

Ok, thats just being desperate to be right. lol

He got today right so fair enough, stopped clock and all that.

He has to make it repeatable or its the bin.

6 academy lads on now. If he doubles down on this I think people will cut him some slack.

100%

People can except poor result and averages performance, if we are building for the future.

39% possession, cowardly 2nd half, still failed to keep a clean sheet.

Cifuentes is so shit the players are bailing him out.

I think so too. Won that despite him.

He's such a nasty liar too, always banging on about non-stop attacking football and wanting to dominate matches.

Where was that in the 2nd half? Such a coward mentality and guess what? We still let them score.

Sitting back and inviting pressure, does that sound like the "Barca" way or what Cifuentes promised?

made some big calls and got the reward, I also really liked the man management of getting Aluko on even if it was on the wing to show him he still has the managers faith.

Bombing Winks out completely was also I dodn't think he had in him, especially with Soumare injured, well done today Marti

First half good, he got the set up right and had the better of Eustace but I've still got concerns about his game management and use of the bench, plus we've still not put in a full match performance yet, and we're nearly half way through the season

Was going to say, his immediate use of Aluko after the sending off, when needing to see out the game is something he deserves some credit for. Would have been easy to cast him aside after that.
