Devonfox1884 Posted 23 October 2025 Posted 23 October 2025 At this point start Okoli up top for a physical presence and an attacking threat from crosses…  Can’t be worse than our actual strikers. 1

Donwebbio Posted 23 October 2025 Posted 23 October 2025 Right Marti, time to sharpen your act up and bring some fresh energy to the group. You need to be brave and think about the team for next season and to start putting together a starting XI that want to be here long term and play for our badge.  Jakub  Ricardo (C) Vestergaard Okoli Kristiansen  Winks James  Monga Ramsey Fatawu  Carranza (may as well give him a run)  Subs Begovic Page (look to build mins in 8 role) Nelson - looking to build mins towards starting role) Silko/Mavididi (rotating with Mav based on impact) Choudhury (RB & No. 6 cover) Aluko (full back cover) Thomas if necessary Ayew (bring on to secure a lead only) Evans (build mins if game dictates) Daka (used to press & stretch pitch - not as a goalscoring option).  Sat in the stands Faes Soumare Skipp Thomas 3
sporter113 Posted 23 October 2025 Posted 23 October 2025 I would love us to play that back 3 from the start. Most threatening we'd looked all season going forward.  Stolarcyzk  Okoli Vestergaard Nelson  Fatawu James Winks Monga  Ramsey  Daka Ayew  Evans on the bench, to come on when our strikers inevitably can't score again.

K789 Posted 23 October 2025 Posted 23 October 2025 Reading the presser notes. Nothing is going to change is it. It'll be the same dross rolled out

He said sooo much stuff on the when you’re smiling podcast and it was basically a load of lies. Nothing about what he’s said has happened 2

AyewJoking Posted 23 October 2025 Posted 23 October 2025 feels like a point there would be decent but Cif needs to win a match and win it well. Â Come on Ayew, I believe in you
StanSP Posted 23 October 2025 Posted 23 October 2025 We're so awfully predictable in most aspects of our game.  Mentality, set-up, build-up, mistakes, chance creation (minimal), individual player traits (Fatawu). Makes us very easy to play against and defend against.  The only bright sparks are Ramsey and James but they can't seem to complete 90s together (granted one of them coming back from injury). Surround them with quality or players that receive the ball in space that we can create for them and we'll flourish. But we don't do that. The build-up is slow, it means opposition can get back into shape and double-up on wingers, and we miss out on opportunities to exploit weaknesses or gaps in defences.  And on the occasions that we do, we're not clinical enough. It's good that the midfield/wingers contribute to goals, but without a proper striker that actually carries a physical threat or finishing, it makes defences play with confidence and ease.  There's always chances for opposition if they want it. Given how we've played so far, we've been fortunate to see games out where we've got 3 points. We have a habit of making things difficult when they don't need to be. Too many players don't actually have the motivation or concentration to play out a full 90 at their best. Too many passengers so other players who do play well have to work extra hard which becomes a detriment.  If Marti has learnt anything from Tuesday, it's that Ayew, Daka, Soumare and Faes should never form part of a starting line up again.  The other predictable thing - Ivanovic is bound to score! 2

Foxin_Mad Posted 23 October 2025 Posted 23 October 2025 We always lose here and we are shit so probably a 2-0 bore fest. The Spanishman will trot out the same excuse whilst simultaneously doing nothing to resolve them
