Marti has a choice to make, Many of these players are going to get him sacked yet he keeps playing them.

 

I'd get Ricardo into midfield along with Winks and James in a 3.

 

It will give us more ball control in midfield and draw players onto us creating space for us to attack.

 

Bur we've also got to be more incisive with the Ball. Ball possession only works by moving the opposition around or creating chances.

Poor defending and Millwall isolating our wingers to stifle our attacking options. Whoever plays as a striker won't offer anything attacking wise so Millwall's defence have a straight forward day. 

 

We make subs and bring on Skipp and co and we get no further.

This already feels like a huge game for Marti. I’ve made my feelings clear on him but he desperately needs a convincing win. 
 

Millwall are on a roll now and will be aware of how fragile we are. It’s really hard to see anything other than a weak performance and loss. 
 

I really don’t want to see Thomas at LB but the alternative is pretty grim also and we’re not seeing Aluko anytime soon.

We need a formation change. Not having a functional striker and Fatwau being double marked has basically nullified out attsck completly. We need to go 2 up top and just try to overload their third.

Spot on. 

 

You have to get your best players into the middle of the park so that we can retain the ball and pass though the opposition. 

 

Winks, Ricardo and James in midfield should give us the advantage. 

 

At the back either or both Faes or Vestergaard need to be dropped along with Thomas

I’m not expecting anything different.  While the players he keeps selecting are thick and lazy, the manager doesn’t seem to be able to motivate or even set them up correctly. 
 

Ricardo, Winks, JJ and Ramsey would be great to see together, doubt it will happen. 

 

JV walking football to the halfway line ignoring the unmarked wingers, blasting the ball to Daka who can’t control it,

Soumare jogs away while they counter. 

 

Let’s see if Thomas passes the ball forward and runs beyond the winger instead of standing around waiting to pass backwards. 
 

If he starts with Soumare, Ayew, Hamza and Faes then he deserves the boot before kick off.

I’d be absolutely stunned if we even managed a draw today….. they will come flying out of the blocks and probably go 2 or 3-0 up before we’ve even started…… just can’t see us coping with their aggression.
