Guess they took a lesson from that and have floated different names since.

I'd take a Gerrard style, even if it was just 6 months. He's a bastard, the sort we need. Will be tactically inept at higher levels, but that's a future problem

I don’t think they are joking re Steve Bruce

If they appointed him I am convinced they are doing it on purpose.

I really hope the rumour of Will Still is completely false!!! Did absolutely nothing for Southampton!!

Just a few half heads on Facebook and here suggesting it though isn’t it? Not a genuine rumour

Funny thing is, if we appointed hm in the summer many would've been happy I think.

How is that ambition ? We’ve just seen a manager significantly struggle to command respect in quite a fractured dressing room so the answer to that is to get the Morecambe manager with less than a years experience ?

I think it was a joke.
unless you are joking aswell and I have fallen into your trap. Very clever 😂

He also replied to someone saying that he thinks Pearson is in good enough health to go back into managing again, gerrim in!

Pearon doesn't get on with Rudkin I don't think. Pearson with King and another experienced head would get the backing of most.   Also could trust him to him advise and sort other issues in the club.

He did a good job at Braga, would’ve thought he will get a better job than ours

Even more reason to get him in! If we get relegated and Rudkin gets headbutted at some point I would take it as a win

Genuine rumour now. Like the poster said, in the summer would have been a decent appointment, but don't think he is suited to championship football!!

Theres better candidates out there for sure! I get he is young for a manager.

If, and it's a big if, Pearson was well enough, and fancied it, we are supposedly looking for a new technical director. This is where his real skills lie, building a backroom staff of coaches, scouts,  nutritionists, analysts, sports science etc. King, I think, with his direction could become a good head coach, in the shakey mould. Remember, it was under NPs encouragement at bristol that he started out on his coaching badges. someone who the players could respect for his history with the club

Course not. We'd never get anyone who's barely done anything at Southampton
