fox_favourite Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Sod it King, Morgan, Huth and big Was. Bring the boys back together. Leader in Morgan, Huth as backup, King as the peace maker and Big Was to sort the babies out.
Iwebema Posted 26 January Posted 26 January I have a feeling this is what will happen. They will pray that Andy King does a good job so they dont have to do any work, probably give him the next 3. If it doesnt, they are definitely going to float something under Russell Martin, but I dont think he will risk it. So they will go for a cheap free easy option until the end of the year. I note he still talks about the style of football we play etc. So I think hes still wedded to the "style" but I am not sure there is anyone out there other than Martin. Tbh I am so past the point of caring with these lot. I dont think I can have a strong opinion on who or if it will be good! Just bring it on and see how quickly it all makes you laugh that its allowed to carry on!
BrilliantFox Posted 26 January Posted 26 January (edited) Absolute state of this. Rowett is totally going to garner respect in the dressing room aye? Edited 26 January by BrilliantFox

Tuna Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Honestly the state of this thread, anyone jumping in here would think we are appointing Rowett, Martin and Hassenhutl all at once. It'll be Garry Monk BTW
nettle Posted 26 January Posted 26 January 45 minutes ago, Muzzy_no7 said: Why? You’d rather King till the end of the Season than Gary Rowett? Same as above, you aware of the great job he did at Millwall, keeping Oxford up and solid jobs at Birmingham and Derby? He's just not very good is he failed manager at Oxford but good enough for us. not for me unfortunately. We tried this crap with Marti shit at QPR and shit for us.
JonnyBoy Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Meh Gary rowett could be ok but won’t celebrate the appointment - it’s the obvious choice so will go for him. Maybe we can’t get better

Fuchs was a tremendously talented player, but it's his character while playing for us that makes you think he will be a successful manager. And as far as our situation is concerned, from what I saw of his character I think he would be a no-nonsense manager who would take no crap but would also be good at man-management, he would set high standards both for fitness and technique, and I would expect his game management to be solid and well-considered. Obviously his short time in management presents a risk, it would probably be too early for him to be approached for the job, but it's an appointment I would nevertheless warm to. 1
brookfox Posted 26 January Posted 26 January The other (/only) think going for an interim manager is we’d surely have the DoF in by the summer. Only we’d appoint a manager before his boss!
supernuk Posted 26 January Posted 26 January No idea why but I think it will be Steven Gerrard or Gary Rowett.

Perhaps, but I am always wary of bringing those who achieved so much in our past, especially when we are at our lowest, as it feels (probably mistakenly) that I would not wish to diminish the memory of them.
teblin Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Thing is with Rowett his record in general in the championship is better than marti. Until the end of the season fine. 3
Jacob7839 Posted 26 January Posted 26 January If we get The hearts manager that would be very impressive
Katy Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Talk Sport are really pushing the Gary Rowett narrative. Not mad about it, personally. I reckon he could bash some heads which is what these feckless sods need.
Claudio Fannieri Posted 26 January Posted 26 January I think the Rowett link will have come from his representatives, he has probably reached out to the club to register his interest and had the thanks for your interest we will consider it and be in contact in due course. Leaking to media keeps you in the public domain and shows you are available and ready to manage again. 2

StanSP Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Hope we don't get the Hearts managed. Cba derailing their season just so we can struggle to a 12th place in the Championship. 1
Jacob7839 Posted 26 January Posted 26 January Huge fan of rowett to be honest. Will get the players into shape and may work out for good in the long run even if he's not in charge

Pearson managed Southampton as a caretaker before coming to us, and then only Hull in-between. Ranieri had just failed at international level having won very little. Puel had been sacked by Southampton.
