LVFox Posted 31 January Posted 31 January It will be Martin, was always likely to be on our list and think he won’t mind the challenge of the points deduction, or even a potential league 1 rebuild next season.
stu Posted 31 January Posted 31 January If it is Martin then it needs to work out for him, just as much as it needs to work out for us, otherwise he is finished as a manager. That’s the only thing I can cling on to.

Showed at Rangers he cant handle pressure or a toxic environment. Probably the worst appointment on that list along with Coleman Edited 31 January by South Shire Fox

If we’ve recruited him and we’re acquiring loan players at his behest, why hasn’t it been announced yet? Ans why has no journalist got the story? Reckon it will break, Percy and Alex Crook bomb dropped in the next 24 hours saying Martin will be announced on a 3.5 year contract
Blue-fox Posted 31 January Posted 31 January If it’s Martin then I’ll be done. I can’t watch his brand of shite football any longer 2

RowlattsFox Posted 31 January Posted 31 January Last thing this club needs is a manager that the fans already hate. 2

If I were as certain it is him as some people on here seem to be, I would be filling my boots. I don’t think it’s going to be him. It’s very clear that we desperately need somebody to come in and instil defensive structure, organisation and resilience into our fragile group of players. A brief glance at Martin’s track record shows that he is emphatically not the man for that job. There is simply no way that anybody—not even Top or Rudkin—could convince themselves that Martin is the answer to our problems. Edited 31 January by ClaphamFox

winteriscoming Posted 31 January Author Posted 31 January (edited) I live in hope that there’s a complete left field appointment that comes from nowhere. There normally is. It happened with Cifuentes and I can only hope it’ll happen in the next few days. I certainly don’t want Martin. Edited 31 January by winteriscoming
cityfanlee23 Posted 31 January Posted 31 January I will not watch this club if Martin is announced. I cannot deal with sideways ball a second longer. If Martin is announced I’ll just watch Bournemouth until we wake up. 1

fox in the sox Posted 31 January Posted 31 January Martin is favourite but 5-1 so I think it’s guesswork at the moment.
Number 6 Posted 31 January Posted 31 January He's an absolute weapon, but he does have more tactical noise than Marti. Rangers was a catastrophe, but his Champ Southampton side had some decent spells and ultimately got promoted. To counter this he'd have the fans on his back from the off, and most are fed up with the extremely slow possession style now. Plus he doesn't seem like the right man to come in and sort the culture out. Would be destined to crash and burn I think, but probably next season rather than this one.
winteriscoming Posted 31 January Author Posted 31 January Interesting that Aribo who were linked with was at Rangers when Gerrard and Van Bronckhurst were there. Not that convinced with either of them but just giving other options other than Martin.
