Robbie Keane?

Gerrard, Potter, both with them too.

Yeah Keane or Gerrard.

Potter is going to spend the next two years looking good getting Sweden into the euros and building his rep back up.

Is anyone stupid enough to agree a deal with us.

Take away the huge pay cheque and pay the average yearly salary and ask any none Leicester fan do you want it?

99% would say No.

I see no good reason any manager would want us at the present time other than us paying over the odds.

So another PSR fail on the way.

Rowett seems to know something, trying to read if he knows the person whose got the job or he choosing his words carefully whilst he's finalising the deal with the club.

‘Really ambitious’

’Interesting role’

A list of possibilities frequently described as like being a ‘Hell’.

We’re just going to use AI to pick the team.

I get the feeling Rowett saying they're about to make an 'ambitious appointment' is akin to Sir Humphrey on Yes, Minister telling the minister they're about to make a 'brave decision'.

Is it going to be some random spaniard who's going to attempt to tika taka us out of a Championship relegation scrap? 😂

We didn't fail last season and there's no indication we will this season, so this is one area where the club seems to have learned its lesson.

Given we cannot pay transfer fees currently, or are choosing not to, I think it's naive to think we've got any pull right now. We are piss addled drunk if so.

How much difference will the lack of prem money this season make.

The quotes from Rowett are interesting. Like others are saying he knows who it is.

Strange thing for him to say if he was in the running for the job

I feel you’ve answered your own question! Massive salary probably paid off within a year….

We don't need someone for the future, or a building or someone who has some big grand strategy or philosophy that takes a while to implement. We simply need someone who can galvanise a squad whose confidence and mentality is on the floor, for 15 games, to keep us up.

I worry that the club will turn its nose up at 'solid' Championship managers and/or be deluded/complacent enough to think they're not in a relegation battle when they are.

I'm with you here.  Fans will turn on anyone trying to implement their own philosophy as it just takes to long

Hoping it's Carvahal, want a former defender to be in change as defensive organisation has been lacking so much since Enzo left.

Mate, RVN was a world class striker.  We couldn't buy a goal lol

Seems a down to earth bloke when I've heard him, maybe heard the name and thought whther he can compete ability wise he can't "name" wise. That doesn't mean its a good manager maybe just a big name.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how hilarious it would be if Gary Rowett has said "they're about to make a really ambitious appointment" and it turns out to be him lol

That's Brendan coded! "Gucci belt"

I don’t know, for some candidates like Skubala it could be a life changing amount of money wages wise

Maybe, when Rowett came out of his interview for the job, he saw Pep sitting in the waiting area, next to go in?
