There’s definitely bigger problems but whatever the question Marti wasn’t the answer. A bloke who achieved the square root of **** all, he should never have got the job.

It was alarm bells going off quite loudly. He had to pay his way in ffs lol

Cooper was the only one mad enough to take us on summer 24.Followed by RVN who had clearly done zero research. Then a desperate Marti.Just look at the direction of travel here.

We should have stuck with Marti. He would have at least got us some wins. AK record is 4 straight losses. He is ruined. We owe another manager money ( which we have not got). What possible benefit was there in getting rid? The names linked are terrible. We have had it.

I can only think that the date for compo to kick in was after the transfer widow and they panicked.Hoped that one of their contacts would come in eventually and that King would steady the ship in the meantime.

I dont understand how more people arent angry. Its absolutely lost on me how they can literally run this club into bankruptcy through sheer neglect and there are still a large amount of fans who think its ok because we won the league, even though neither of them played any real role in it.

Its like being in an abusive relationship for the last 5 years, but saying they used to be nice once so lets just wait and see if it turns around.

How much more needs to happen before people wake up? They have shown us all time and again who they are.

I even saw some comments on the athletic last week of people saying "about time these young fans knew what being a leicester fan is really like"

Such a weird mentality to take. Ive basically walked away from the club now, but its getting so far beyond neglect its making me furious to witness.

First bolded bit - this is exactly what it is. Perfect analogy.

Second bolded bit. It infuriates me. The holier than thou superior attitude. Most of us who are pissed off that I can see have been around during our previous worst time (2002-2009). The argument holds no weight. It is purely about us having higher standards for basic things like effort and care for the club and wanting a club to support in the future.

Absolutely, my post in the other thread was saying similar, it’s almost like to some the club didn’t exist before KP. We have had success and failure long before KP came in however the big difference was it felt like it was our club, these last 5 years or so it has become more and more like we are nothing more than customers, it’s no longer our club and we should be grateful and accepting of whatever KP and Rudkin serve up.

This is not a dictatorship nor a cult and it’s about time fans remember many of us have been here a lot longer than the owners and decision makers, this is our club always has been and always will be.

Sadly it’s not…….it is owned by King Power……it is their club, and they will do as they see fit

This club has had many owners in its history, they come and then they go.

The fans were here before King Power and will be here after King Power.

I don’t understand how it has happened as I have always seen through it, but cult is exactly what it is. The same principles are at play and people have been sucked in to this scenario where they must defend their leader at any cost.

But yeah, absolutely. It is clear KP never respected history spanning back to 1884. Even early in their ownership, there were concerned raised by people that it all seemed to be about 2010 onwards and never any acknowledgement of prior achievements.

People have allowed one man to become bigger than the club. A man who is destroying the club. A club established and passed on through generations of our ancestors. It’s heartbreaking and devastating.

Do you honestly believe that most managers in that situation would have achieved any more than the square root of **** all?

The current caretaker hasn't. The three managers before him didn't. It was starting to go wrong for the manager before them, who had by a massive margin the most expensive squad the second tier had ever seen. The interim before him failed. And the previously-successful manager who preceded him endured a torrid final two seasons.

There's no way on earth you can look at the weight of all this evidence and draw the conclusion that individual managers have been our problem. And if they've been a bit ropey, it's because our board have actively sought that kind of boss, instead of people who'd stand a chance of addressing the malaise.

I think any manager with an ounce of football nouse can be successful in this division. We shouldn’t be in the bottom 3, some of the things the previous manager was failing on like running basics and fitness are simply unacceptable. Yes the club are responsible for constantly employing the wrong people and using what little money they do have to sign players that have little impact.

I do feel as if I've heard this 'pretty much anyone could do better than the current manager' narrative before. If Cifuentes had no nous at all, nor King (and the masses said this was the problem with Cooper and Ruud too), then what chance could there possibly be of us finding someone who does have a bit of nous?

The truth is that successive bosses, while often ill-fitted for the job, have come in and failed to achieve progress. They're not all utterly incompetent, and I doubt very much that any avid non-Leicester-based followers of the FLC feel that Cifuentes has been a significant player in our downfall. There are other, more obvious, common denominators.

Indeed they will, but not many have the dollar to truly own it.....

Being incompetent in the Premier League and in this division are 2 very different things, this division even idiots like Russell Martin can get something. That Marti fellow has certainly helped increase the speed of our downfall and we have got progressively worse over every game over the course of this season under him, so he is absolutely to blame for our current position. The fitness and running statistics are atrocious, that’s basic, so basic.

I don’t disagree there are bigger problems, one of the issues is that we thought he was the solution in the first place. The club is incompetent and employed a no mark, I don’t have much faith they can do better only hope they get lucky. We have a fairly rotten group of players also.

I said it a couple of weeks ago but as they clearly have no plan and never had one when sacking Marti, this is the most obvious Warnock appointment until the end of the season I have ever seen.

He’d keep you up at a canter, gives you the rest of the season to plan ahead for next season.

Every week that passes, his ability to come in and keep you up reduces.

The rest of the names linked are either ridiculously shite (Gerrard/Martin) or completely unproven and as much as a risk as keeping King on.

When Rafa came into us initially, we bought him in a game or two late to save us. Similar to you with Smith when you went down in the PL. You’re on track to repeat that right now, imo.

The problem is Rudkin and Top don't have the nouse to appoint a manager with any nouse.

They waited 17 days into pre-season before appointing Marti, and now it's 20 days since he was sacked and we're no closer.

They're ****ing useless, it's beyond belief this.

I've no confidence we'll have anyone in place before Norwich either.

I’ve ran out of words now, you’d expect a strong link in the press by now, but nothing. Find it weird there isn’t noise around us not having a manager lined up!

why is it so quiet regardless of what the clubs doing?

Maybe, they aren't actually doing anything.

Or they've gone to unrealistic choices who have laughed at them.

Or they still think Potter is going to do it.

Close the thread. We haven’t got anyone lined up. They haven’t got a clue. Now that we are actually in the bottom 3, the players don’t have bottle to fight or survive this battle. We are weak mentally and physically and we have leaders (Top/Rudkin) who are even worse than the players.

Could it be administration is about to step in if KP doesn't do something in next couple days???
