Popular Post Trav Le Bleu Posted 26 October 2025 Popular Post Posted 26 October 2025 Reality check What are you expecting? Don't you know the players we have in our squad by now? Are you not aware of the financial fiasco and the PSR will-they-won't-they saga? Things are not going to change drastically any time soon. We were never going to walk this league. Three or four good players are never going to be able to carry a team of over-the-hill, malcontent or just plain poor players. Bringing talented youngsters into such a team is only going to ruin them. We could have Alex Ferguson, Pep Guardiola or Luis Felipe Scolari in charge, they would struggle with our squad. But get this, nothing is going to change overnight. Nothing will be different next week. There's no consistent curve to better times. There's ups and downs. Sometimes more downs than ups; sometimes the reverse. It will take time to change. Being frustrated about it alters nothing, it just enhances the negativity. For now we have to suck it up and endure, but back the team that's our there and the current manager. It's what supporters do; they support, it's in the title. Moan, bitch and whine all you like - unless a miraculous takeover happens - it's going to be a long hard season. Yet if we try to make the best of it, support the team that's our there, maybe we can eke a little more out of them to hold back the tide, maybe even turn it. The only thing you can control is yourself. Everything else, sorry, no. Take a deep breath and consider that. Suck it up and go again. 19 4
Popular Post lcfcell Posted 26 October 2025 Popular Post Posted 26 October 2025 I could agree if we were showing any signs of improvement. If anything we’re getting worse. Our actual good players are looking poor. The way he said we’d play “attacking non stop football” have we seen any of that? The pressing? I’d be interested if anyone could tell me what the style Marti is trying to implement actually is? He talks a good game but he’s shown himself to be a very weak manager. He had a chance to banish the scumbags who’ve disgraced the club but he’s let them back in. I’d challenge someone to name one positive thing about Cifuentes this season? 7
Popular Post Tielemans63 Posted 26 October 2025 Popular Post Posted 26 October 2025 I think a better manager could get more out of this squad. I also think fans would be more patient if they could see any evidence whatsoever of things improving. It does take time to change, but what changes do you see happening? I just see the same individuals making the same mistakes and not taking accountability and I'm a bit sick of it. 13 1
Popular Post jayfox26 Posted 26 October 2025 Popular Post Posted 26 October 2025 I actually didn't watch the Millwall game, first game I've not watched this season and I actually felt better and have enjoyed my weekend better. I've come to terms with our decline, I've accepted we're no longer a prem team but I can't accept being crap in the championship. If this group of players, this owner and board can't be arsed, then neither can i, and if that makes me a bad fan then fine. 5

When the team start putting the effort in, they’ll get my unwavering support. At the moment all I can support is a small selection of players that are actually trying despite the majority of their team not actually giving a crap. Edited 26 October 2025 by phoneticerror
Soar Fox Posted 26 October 2025 Posted 26 October 2025 Might as well have just said we were in league one 17 years ago be grateful.

The notion that supporters should be like circus seals just mindlessly clapping along because they are supporters. Maybe supporting this club right now is actually putting pressure on the senior leadership that is dragging it down and telling these charlatan players that we see them and don’t endorse their lack of respect for our club? You’d have to do a pretty good job to convince me that no change in leadership and the continued appearance of the likes of Faes and Soumare is in the best interests of my club. So in my opinion supporting the club is doing anything that works against those parties. 5

Are you not aware of the financial fiasco and the PSR will-they-won't-they saga? Is this not the exact reason the fans should be showing their frustration! The club have somehow ended up with a number of senior players who don't want to be here - so many that we can't drop them all The financial fiasco and PSR is 100% the fault of those running the club We need to be showing our frustration... although we have to be careful not to take it out on the players that do care, albeit it maybe too late as it already appears that even the decent players are distant from the fans. I don't think it is the Managers fault and he is the easy blame, but we need to be doing more to protest against the senior running of the club
Blueman1967 Posted 26 October 2025 Posted 26 October 2025 I don't believe we have to accept it. A lot of teams have turned it around, and the youth should be brought in. How do you get the experience and the drive if you don't get a chance? Look at Page; the lad needs game time. Yes, they will make mistakes, but so do your senior players. 1

Nods Posted 26 October 2025 Posted 26 October 2025 (edited) Couldn't disagree more. With an organised leadership and a squad that tries? Absolutely. Our team in 14/15 needed and deserved support, and I agree, it can make the difference. This lot? They're not arsed. Nothing will change that. They don't deserve support anyway, and clapping along like good little supporters prolongs the agony. We shouldn't be supporting more, we should be angrier. We should be driving change through anger and protest. Imagine Everton fans if this was them. Or Newcastle. Would they be cheerleading? Would they fvck, and rightly so. They should be all the evidence you need that an angry fan base can drive change. But yeah, clap a bit more and Soumare might start to bust a lung every game. Yeah, right. Gamble92 Posted 26 October 2025 Posted 26 October 2025 Ahhh the old "we are where we are" mentality. Other posters have already replied exactly how a lot of us think. It's just so typical of some Leicester fans to just accept we should get results like the ones this week with this squad. We absolutely shouldn't. We should be doing far better than this with this squad. Now, the situation regarding their contacts and how many wanted away is a factor, but that's when you need a manager to prioritise who deserves to play and who doesn't. I think most who post on here could tell Skipp and Soumare shouldn't start. There's been some really poor choices. The tactics are the main concern for me. We don't create anything for our strikers. We have been getting away with it and now we aren't. I think he has Saturday to turn it around or he's gone.

You are spot on ... this decline has not happened overnight.... its been years in the making ... mostly due to bad financial decisions, knee jerk managerial appointments and poor player purchasing at over inflated prices and dishing mega contracts out ... looking at the professional squad we need to offload the vast majority of them when contracts end .. so our upturn is a few seasons away .... but something that would help is some clarity from within the the club ... but don't hold your breath on that happening... due to that would mean an admission of responsibility
MattFox Posted 26 October 2025 Posted 26 October 2025 We were a top 6 in the premier league side less than 5 years ago No we don’t have to suck this up 3
Skidmark Posted 26 October 2025 Posted 26 October 2025 Absolute tosh that post. You can express unrest and unhappiness with the club and direction especially as we can all see Marti is out of his depth. Biggest load of nonsense I've read on here since I saw a post saying 'Kermo was decent.' 1
Eskay Posted 26 October 2025 Posted 26 October 2025 I would suck it up if: During the good times fans were treated fairly with ticket availability and transparent communication. And during the bad times fans had open and transparent communication and weren't essentially censored. What's happening at this moment in time is years of failure, arrogance and failure coming to fruition. The club is being used purely for asset stripping. The sooner people realise that the better.

And it's an important distinction to make that this thinking doesn't mean we automatically expect this squad to dominate the Championship. Even though there is an expectation we should have enough quality to at least be in the mix for promotion. The main point is that our downfall is unforgivable. As fans, our efforts to support the current squad are likely to be futile. But we absolutely should be angry and should be so much louder in voicing that anger. Clapping along is complicit behavior.
