Mavididi needs to have a good game today. People have rightly mentioned Monga struggling recently (when starting) but Stephy has given absolutely nothing for ages.

Last time in the championship he had KDH underlapping which created space. He’s been out there on his own this time as LT hasn’t got close enough. Hopefully VK bombs on today giving them a problem

We're not getting any youth under this manager are we.

Course not. If he went tomorrow he'd be a pub quiz question.

Unfortunately as much as I hate the thought and site of Soumaré, not many options at the moment with people injured and some off to the u17s world Cup. What other real options are there?

Rather have Bobby Reid as number 10 and James in his proper position.  But agreed. Options are limited.

Agree with this but also then we are left with the option of Soumaré coming on from the bench. Having Soumaré in the middle vs BDCR as a 10 is like choosing between a kick in the balls vs a punch on the face.

Be thankful it isn’t both !

To do what exactly?

He just runs around occupying the right sort of positions but that's it. He doesn't touch the ball, tackle, head or intercept. He's too slow to track a runner. Too physically insignificant to cause the oppo any worries by being there.

Skipp, Hamza, Faes would all be better no 10s than Bob

Good to see Thomas and Faes where they belong. Time for Carranza to step up, big step for him though.

Be nice to see shots hitting the target, crosses not overhit and no individual errors at the back. Okoli needs to hit long if he’s in any doubt.

Luke Thomas has finally been dropped, and Okoli keeps his place over Faes.

That's about where the positives end.

I just don't get this.

Did you see the difference last week when Faes replaced Thomas?

Whatever people think of Wout Faes, he's indescribably advanced as a footballer  when compared to LT.
