We concede the same goal every game, Ricardo gets caught out miles out of position in midfield their left winger has the whole side of the pitch to himself our RCB has to go across to cover Ricardo they cross it for a tap in, rinse and repeat every game.

 

Just bin off Ricardo inverting into midfield does not create anything for us and leaves us exposed on turnover time and time again.

I mean he isn’t Firmino, but he is objectively by far the best presser of our striking options. He also moves, sometimes towards the goal, which is a novelty. I’ve seen Ayew literally sprint out of the box and away from the opposition goal whilst we are in possession multiple times 🤣

Patson's our best striker by a distance. Ayew isn't a number 9, and I've seen enough of Carranza now to make up my mind- absolute mule.  

 

Marti's insistence on rigidly playing 1 up top, isolating all of our forward players, is really starting to wind me up.

Apart from the 10 mins after their goal, it's probably been the best performance all season from an attacking point of view (low bar I know). Full backs have actually made some overlapping runs which makes the wingers much more dangerous. Lack of a striker is killing us
