Spent half of the first half quite worried as I saw a lot of work happening in the north stand and ambulances being prepared. Does anyone have any update on whether the individuals involved were okay?

It was about 5m away from me. Quite upsetting to see.

A lady in the row behind was helping the paramedics. In the 2nd half, one of the senior stewards (presume) came and spoke to her, and she smiled. Hoping that is a positive sign.

I did wonder why there seemed to be a heavy yellow jacketed presence there.

Hopefully the person that needed treatment is on their way to a full and speedy recovery.

Yeah it was odd it wasn’t stopped. From where we were sat you could see that there was CPR going on.
I do hope the person is okay.
It felt a bit weird that this was unfolding while a whole stadium was able to see

Was horrible to see it going on for so long, and can only hope the person pulled through.

Apart from it being visible to the whole stadium, the response in general seemed to be excellent.

Thoughts are with the person involved and their family.

The rule for stopping was put in place for when teams doctors/medical staff form part of the response in the stand and therefore the players are at risk as there’s no one to look after them if needed. Similarly if a defib is taken out of action for use in the stands.

I assume on this occasion the right amount of medical attention was sourced without needing to use match day medical team members?

But even so, there should surely be some level of respect for the person and whoever is there with them??

There would be less privacy had they stopped the game

What Privacy?

They weren't going to stop the game and ask everyone to politely look away or wait outside.

If the game was stopped, you would just have the whole stadium watching that one incident which would be even less dignity.

Ive heard they were taken away in a oxygen mask but their eyes were open. 🤞

Hope they didn’t manage to catch any of the game.

fingers crossed for a quick recovery

Thought that it didn’t look a good sign that they weren’t carried down to pitchside to the ambulance that was waiting but hoping the reports that the person was responsive are true.

Seen some criticism of the response online which doesn’t seem fair. There was quite clearly a lot of people who got there pretty swiftly and you don’t want your first responders unable to compose themselves to treat someone because they’ve sprinted up 50 steps.

Hopefully we get a positive update in the next 24-48 hours.

If it's going to happen to you anywhere then inside a football stadium is one of the best places for you.

You have to question a world where if it's a player everyone ends a game but a fan and they carry on like nothings happened. I know some games have stopped for fans before but still.

It was my mate, he’s In Glenfield now, waiting for news.

Truly hope he pulls through, but Glenfield is a good place for him to be. They worked wonders for my grandad when he had a heart attack. Fully hoping your mate gets the same treatment and result.

I was around 15 rows below this incident and it actually made me physically upset having looked over and see CPR being given, Had a massive flashback to a personal matter! I pray for the person to be in good health and I do feel that incident warranted the game to be suspended also as I noticed a few Leicester players watching what was happening also
