Kingy in the dugout and Pearson upstairs would be soothing for my soul, but it's just not going to happen. I'd rather he washes his hands of us and focuses on staying well, at least until the nightmare of Top's ownership is over. :nono:

Honestly, I Iove the man but he can't come back to the club in this state and have his reputation battered. He deserves better than this lot and his health is more important.

It won't be battered, King as his assistant, we are not exactly pulling up feathers

DoF maybe. He built an elite machine off the pitch, he could do it again I'm sure.

Or at least avert this impending catastrophe. When you think about it there is a lot of parallels with the time he came back and sorted out the egos, wages and squad building of the Sven era.

His health is more important. I reckon I'd have an aneurysm having to deal with the likes of Faes, Soumare, Winks and Mavididi every day, let alone him. lol

Plus, it'd be another one of those wool-over-the-eyes, memberberries appointments that deflect from the utter rot at board level at LCFC. I worship the man, but even them dragging Nigel back in from the cold would be a distraction exercise that probably would work on a fair few people. If Rudkin is still here as DOF, Nigel working underneath him is utterly pointless. Let him dictate the transfer policy and targets, don't put him on an inevitable warpath when the transfer windows come calling and that worm piles yet more failures on top of the stinking manure heap of our squad.

Not sure how bad is health is but I am sure it would do him some good getting out ther and giving it a go. MON is 73 and just gone back into management.. never say never.

I think he’d perhaps work best as an assistant now. He’s had lots of surgery and I don’t think stress of the manager’s job would be good for him.

However him being back in any capacity would be great. I’ve pushed back on the idea in the past but he was the visionary behind it all.
