They’re probably fortunate it’s international break next weekend, could have seen this inciting a bigger reaction next week if we had a game. As it is, things may cool off slightly.

To play devils advocate, it now gives more time to put things in place for the Stoke game

Far from great but the club has actually responded.

Shame it takes chants like THAT, to get the club to actually acknowledge the fans. Communication at a much earlier stage could prevent this.

We also want to make clear our support for our staff and leadership. Personal abuse of any kind is unacceptable. The people who represent Leicester City work with dedication and integrity every day, and with the Club’s best interests at heart.

What the actual **** is this shit?!?

.

Shit is about right .... basically they dish up shit and we the fans have to suck it up and keep quiet .. comments / abuse  are sometimes the only option left .... don't always agree but understand why

Disgusting chant that crossed the line, but what do you expect from d1ckheads that also chanted 'football in a library' during the minutes silence, some of lcfc fans really are the lowest of the low

I was there yesterday and I can't recall hearing this?

It really wouldn't surprise me if it was one or two teens who had a few too many cans and happened to be sitting near Cliff and Co...

I was probably 2/3 of the way up in block G and could clearly hear it. I think it was only one person. In all likelihood probably someone who spends their weekends painting roundabouts, but can’t show how patriotic he is by being quiet for 1 minute.

I knew it would be this!

Chants were honestly horrible.

But the funny thing is Top’s too busy playing polo with his pals in Thailand to realise they even happened.

Is it too much to ask for the ownership to care about LCFC as much as us fans do?

I don't have a clue about the specific chant and the wording but even if it crossed the line this is not the way to communicate the matter. Idk in which cloud our board members are right now but there are at least 4 countries in Europe (Spain and Italy included) where the fans even go to players and to the training ground to express their feelings and they aren't at all polite.

I don't like hateful chants etc but the board needs to wake up. This is the absolute wrong way to communicate and this club statement is embarrassing.

Have any of the big clubs ever released statements about their YouTubers who most of the time cross this line? Nope. Good thing we don't have any major YouTuber because probably he would haven been in the court now by our board.

Chants like that now mean the club can play victim and blame any protest or anything on a "small, toxic section of fans" and sit there then sit back and watch the other happy clappers spend their money.

Its an idiotic chant, its drawn the wrong attention, its ****ed up any sort of power any protest would had for a good while and its damn right out of order to think its ok to chant about murdering someone.

I disagree here.

Hopefully tomorrow it’ll make its way into the papers. It’s not good publicity for LCFC at all

So from what I gather, the moronic chant in question was sung by only a very small portion of the traveling away fans.

As a logical consequence, they do not represent the fanbase as a whole.

The club could've acknowledged that and spun it more positively.

I find it rather ironic that similar chants in the past have – as far as I can remember – never caused such a reaction.

To me, that's a rather thin-skinned statement.

Imagine the club regularly scolding supporters for their chants.

As others have stated, it's also ironic that the club finally manages to address its supporters directly, after years of silence and ignorance.

It was a much bigger portion of the fan base than you would imagine would gladly chant about killing someone.

There has been chants in the past, but this very clearly crossed a line which hasn’t been done before.

A club can seperate from their fans was my point on that one. You are right it doesnt look good for the club but all clubs are able to distance themselves from small cells of fans who want to shout racist stuff or all the other deplorable stuff they do.West Ham and Millwall spring to mind.

The club now can go "it's not our fans, its just a set of idiots we want nothing to do with." If it was a chant about wanting Rudkin out without talking about killing the bloke, its a different story, but also wouldn't make more than the local news.

The club's distain of it's own fans has brought this on. It's unfortunate, the language is terrible, but I dont have any sympathy with the club or Rudkin.

Pre match in the concourse was very loud by a lot of people. Personally I wouldn’t call them fans.
