The difference is, Top spends most of his time in Thailand and when he is in this country, he's mostly living the London playboy lifestyle.

Saying, 'fvck off home' to an economic migrant or an asylum seeker sends the explicit message that they're not welcome in this country and should return to their suffering.

With Top, it's more, 'if you don't care about the club anymore because it seemingly gets in the way of your lifestyle, go. We won't miss you.'

I’m sure that’s exactly how every person who sang it sees it as well.

What are the chants in question?

ohhh Jon Rudkins a turdbrain,

he wears a turdbrains hat,

he used to be a youth team coach,

but he wasn't good at that,

so then he got promoted,

and now he's D O F,

He's ****ed the club completely up,

but don't mention his death.

When there is discontent then there is always a spectrum of reactions.  In this case many fans are unhappy with the running of the club... eg. Rudkins role in the squad we have , the board appointing a gambling sponsor or the lack of fan engagement.  Some fans might write in... others might chant derogatory things...and a few will call for the death of principals.

The club must not make the mistake that the existence of a few hot heads means that the general feeling amongst fans can be ignored.

How did we get here?  Can Top look at himself?

Sometimes think a selection of our fan base and the owners are made for each other, very little brain cells between them.

It's an unnecessarily personal chant, you can sing chants against anyone without talking about death. What's wrong with an old fashioned sack the board...

Although lyrics for vast majority of our songs have been awful ever since we were singing about Soyuncu's cock lol

Someone close to me plays golf with his son, put it this way he doesn't have a ''job'' just plays golf everyday either here or abroad - son said he has PP officers at matches and has had a few incidents happen at his home address.

We also want to make clear our support for our staff and leadership.

irrelevant and not needed in this statement. Who is we. Does it include the supporters group. Why is support important to show ? Doesn’t the statement without this sentence do that re: the chants ?

We want to make it clear that we support ourselves and we think we're doing a great job.

Assume you mean the son doesn't have a job?

This is what I was getting at on the first page. If you're someone from Leicester, who has been at this club all your working life, and you cared about the success of the club, then just walk away surely? Bags and bags of money, no need to work again, probably do alright in the corporate circuit telling stories about the title win and champions league nights....

Why would you put yourself through needing PP or having incidents at your house?

Well it appears to have smoked them out so we know they are still alive and listening. Shame that it took an offensive chant to do it but this is something likely to happen given the built up frustration. Not condoning it but it should never have got to this stage.

This is a good point.

We probably need more on the edge chanting so they get the message. Nothing illegal but things that can be videod and put all over their social media without making us fans look like idiots.

This is the start of them actually taking notice.

I trust all the posters in here unhappy with this statement are all signed up members of the Foxes Trust as just moaning on Foxes Talk will change nothing it's probably counter productive.

For the Foxes Trust to be more effective they need a very large membership.

The Foxes Trust have done some much better stuff this season.

@Foxes_Trust I hope to see a statement in response to this one this morning, just like you have done all season on other issues.

Simple, acknowledge that particular chant crossed the line (but point out it was a couple of individuals), then go in to asking why there was no acknowledgement of frustrations and also why this is the first time the club has been heard from in years.

Two poor bits of communication:

A rubbish offensive chant by 20-30 lager fuelled thickos.

A tone deaf club statement, choosing to break years of silence to address them instead of the catastrophic decline of the whole club.

Neither look good, but one is a £400m company

I’m not condoning the chants in the slightest but thought that I’d pick up a theme.

We get radio silence from our board/owners yet in recent times that we’ve heard from Top/the club have been when they want to have a moan about their own fans.

I can’t think of many other comms other than when we got relegated the first time and Top said about how he received some mean social media comments.

Where is the acknowledgment of how many fans have continued to travel/pay obscene amounts when the performances on the pitch have far from warranted it?

Sad that's it gotten to the point he needs security officers. But at what point do the club take responsibility and move him out of the limelight into a different role? All well and good writing snotty statements and doing nothing about it

They are doing their best to alter that.

I like moaning on foxestalk. It doesn't help change things at the club but it makes me feel better 🤣
