Absolutely this. That second half is not a fair reflection as Sheff Utd weren't even trying to attack. It wasn't like we were stopping them from attacking,  they literally weren't trying to.

Easy to say that the first half was the worst thing about today but the worst thing was the lack of boos in the stadium. The 2nd half performance does not excuse the fact we've lost at home to a poor side and the first half is up there with probably the most disgusting, unprofessional performances I've ever seen. I don't rate Marti but the players are 100% to blame for that first half. That first goal would be embarrassing for my little 4 year old lads team to concede, never mind a team of apparent professionals earning millions a year. Disgusting!

This is being caused by JV . His slow pissing about and wanting to control everything.  Remove the slow tempo and someone try to move forwards with the ball, things can happen.

 

Wingers that for some reason hate to run into space.

 

If Mav, Fatawu and Monga actually moved forwards they would have already beaten the man, but then they can’t stand still and do step overs. All 3 greedy and thick. 

 

Smashing the ball to Daka and Ayew in a busy area doesn’t work, and usually leads to a break with JV somehow higher than the full backs. 
 

More waffle from Marti and the same slow football next week.

Credit where its due but Soumare was very good in that second half. Moved the ball well and got us moving quicker.

 

Reid was neat and tidy in everything he did but he's isn't good enough to have an impact. 

 

Defending was easy second half. 

 

Goes without saying but you can't be 2 nil down inside 5 minutes and expect to do anything. Calamitous first half.

There were some life in the 2nd half, but that 1st half was a display of complete dysfunctionality.

 

We are heading for League One aren't we? Unless we actually replace Marti with someone half decent, but I do not think there is a big chance for that.

Much improved second half after a truly shocking first. I suspect we’ll stay up but that’s about all we can hope for.

Beyond me how we can make zero effort in one half and put a proper shift in during the other. 

First half was unprofessional and some of our players shouldn't ever play again and be told to find a new club in January. 

The others should be told to put that much effort in from the first whistle.

The first two 45's of the last two games is enough to replace the manager.
