Hello from a Bristol City fan

Ahead of our forthcoming game I’m putting together the opening post for our forum’s (One Team in Bristol, https://www.otib.co.uk/?_fromLogin=1) match thread, which will be posted the day before the match.

I would like to include some perspectives from your fans so if anybody would like to share info please do, anything would be appreciated, fans thoughts about the game, players who have represented both clubs, tales from when we’ve met previously, a fans view on your season, etc.

Look forward to receiving info and to a great game.

Any bans expected after the final whistle scenes? We could use all the help we can get.

if you have any players that haven’t scored for 2 years they will get one against us.

I’d like to think we could have turned a corner but it’s been a season of one step forwards and one back. Not sure if we’ve even managed to win 2 on the bounce yet?

Norwich and Stoke last month (albeit broken up by the international break) and Charlton and Birmingham in August.

With no Vardy to score against Bristol City (and then run the length of the pitch cupping his ears :P ), it was hoped that our other strikers might step up, but Daka and Ayew aren't much of a threat and our goals this season have largely come from elsewhere.

EFL will no doubt defer any bans until after the game with us

Any red cards will have been in the refs report and readily be included in any post-match reports which I can't see any. Means this will go to an investigation which are never turned around as soon as the midweek fixture.

Like other have said atm we could click and give you a good whupping.

Likewise if we have players in like Winks, Faes and the team spirit is unbalanced it's an easy 3 points for you.

Not many transactions between clubs to recall, though I’m old enough to remember Chris Garland in the 70’s. He hit the ground running here and scored a few.

The last time we played at Ashton Gate was a 1-0 playing Enzo ball after Vardy missed about 4 simple chances. That game was at the lowest point of the season and sucked the life out of me. That's why I have bad vibes about this game.

The stadium make over has definately improved the experience with decent eating places outside. The away end is better than the shed that we used to get crammed into with restricted views and backless seats. At least we didn't get the usual racist stuff that we used to get.

Kingy might give you a wave and Bobby Reid will be up for it. Not sure about the rest of the players most of which are just going through the motions, seeing their contracts out whilst collecting Premier League wages.

If we play like we did in the first 45 against Derby then it might be a draw. We don't actually have a proper no. 9 so rely on goals from midfielders. If Bristol City take the lead it'll most likey be game over. We're no longer fearless and Foxes do quit despite the club motto.

Can't wait

Only been there once but I’ll never forget it. 2010, Lloyd Dyer scoring the equaliser in the last minute right in front of the away end.  Magic

Didn’t Waghorn also get a late winner at the kop end once ?
That was pretty incredible from memory.

Made better as Bristol City had just scored what they thought was the winner only a minute before. Players celebrating doing pile-on's, home fans going crazy in the stands doing the 'who are ya' stuff at us as we started heading for the nearest exit. Then from the restart a punt forward, flick on by big Yann and Lloyd Dyer, my lord, skanked it in the corner. One of the greatest gangway celebrations, ever. Felt like we'd won.
