I think it’s pretty rational and fair that we have these all side by side.

We're not going up and we don't know what happens with points deductions. Probably best giving the younger players an actual good go to either make them a sellable asset or prepared for next season.

Separate them from those with bad attitudes and put them around good lads who give it a go.

I’d bring him back and give him a chance ahead of Oliver Skipp tbh. Fed up with anonymity in midfield.

Hes literally been one of our better players.

Leave him we’re he is, he is doing well. We’re ****ed regardless so why ruin his recent development just to plug holes in this failing team?

Let him develop and bring him back in next season, we stand a good chance of being in league 1 anyway, so it’s important he and Alves have a chance to develop for a season so we can bring them in next season. Fresh off the back of hopefully two positive experiences.

**** all positive about this club at the moment other than the academy. If going down means bringing these lads on next season, and rid us of the poison that is Top, so be it.

We all want this rot to stop and to bring through new blood but I find the suggestion to bring him back to be a bit ridiculous.

Why disrupt him when he's having a good season just to stick him in the absolutely rotten situation we have here.

Lets bring him back so the forum can moan about how shit he is and that his level is League 2.

Yeah the last thing this forum needs is another academy player in the side lol

Why would you take him from the club he is at?

The whole point of loaning your young players it to get them games and minutes.

He's doing that now. So why risk sending him to another club where it could all be different and he may not get the games/minutes he is now?

Leave him where he is.

See him compete at a higher level would be useful.

Wouldn't bring him back, but think he needs a challenge, his finding L2 pretty easy in a terrible side.

Agree with this.

I doubt he can progress much more technically or tactically teamwork-wise with the poor players around him at Newport. But if he came back here (and we certainly could do with his ability and commitment) then it would only benefit him if he were guaranteed to get plenty of game time and to be playing in a squad with more togetherness and positivity than we have at the moment (which probably means one which includes more of our talented youngsters).

Obviously the highest level that suits his current progress is the best but more importantly is game time. No one will guarantee him game time in L1 or the Championship. The position he plays in is one of the hardest to shift out an experienced player.

Don't ever think I've wanted players to do as well for us as I do him and Alves after what they've been through — but when Braybrooke is in the press saying this is the first time he's felt himself in years, and he's playing and playing well, he's almost definitely just better off staying at Newport for the rest of the season.

If we recall him and send him to another club (let's say in L1) and he gets a fraction of the minutes it'll undo all the good work this Newport loan has done for him personally.

The difference between L1 and L2 is minimal.

Playing in a terrible side will arguably aid his development rather than being in a successful runaway side.

Leave him alone.

He is fine where he is.

Skipp has not been one of our better players in the last two games. Utterly anonymous and carried by JJ.

Utterly anonymous could still qualify for being one of our better players in the last two games. If Okoli and Jakub were yesterday, we’d have won.

If Skipp was less anonymous in midfield we might have created more chances too. Two players having an absolute shocker in Okoli and Stolarcyck doesn’t give everyone else an excuse to be poor. Skipp has been poor in the last two games and we have been dominated in midfield. Braybrooke might not be ready but we won’t know until he plays. Based on Skipp’s last two games (and the majority of his games before Derby and Ipswich) it’s worth a risk.

In my opinion, throwing a young lad into a shocking team/club a couple of levels higher than he is currently playing at and enjoying, wouldn’t be sensible of fair on him.

Keep him where he is enjoying himself and as far away from this cesspit as possible,

for the time being.

But you are risking two things, his ability to operate at this level straight away, yes potentially a risk worth taking, but also we would be risking the fact he won`t play as much as he would on loan. Both together feel like a risk for Sammy and his progression.

Getting relegated from league 2 isn’t exactly beneficial to progression too. Assuming we can’t buy any players in January, Braybrooke is potentially the best way to improve our deeper midfield position. Winks won’t be selected, Soumare is injured and can’t be relied upon and so we are very dependent on an underwhelming Skipp staying fit. There’s Page I guess but he is very young and less experienced than Braybrooke.
