I think Martin has him and Page the right way around at the minute. Braybrooke is more energetic to be playing higher than Page, and Page is more comfortable taking the ball in tight spaces in the way we play.

I really like this guy but his touch in really important moments really let's him down, he's 22, he's got to be better than that.

It was more the tempo of his game today for me, was playing in slow motion. 
 

Also offered nothing defensively when we were under pressure. Very disappointing performance.

He had a real off day today. Looked off it even in the pre match warm up and during the game he spent most of the time playing wall passes backwards as if he was possessed by the ghost of Oliver Skipp.

I know he's young etc but very lightweight and poor on the ball. Hew not the biggest problem though.

None of them were any good today. Braybrooke tried but nothing came off for him at all.

Lightweight maybe but not poor on the ball at all - That’s one of his strengths.

 

Still think he’ll be a top player for us or elsewhere, just calling the performance today as I saw it.

It's a very lightweight squad, they all need to head to the gym to toughen up. Oxford bossed us physically.

Doesn't seem to have the physicality to be a number 8 or able to play passes that can open up opposition defences.

 

Not sure where he should play. Possibly as an anchoring No. 6 but he is probably too lightweight for that position when put of possession.

The issue with Sammy, both games where we’ve been easily turned over at home and you have to question his involvement.

 

It’s more of a tactical issue than a Sammy issue but a club with the budget etc, should not be getting pumped 4-0 at home by Oxford.

Outright weird - and nothing to suggest this. He worked hard, but little came off. He'd not at the stage to carry the whole team. But even towards then end hes still putting decent crosses into Howell who should have hit the target. Saved Souttars ass right at the beginning of the 2nd half. I don't doubt effort, application etc. Think suggesting otherwise it pretty poor.

It was Martin's strange change of tactics that threw Sammy and Page under the bus.  Luke Thomas playing walking football and trying to play the ball in the middle Sammy was then supposed to try and control the ball or make a pass in a congested area while marked by physical players, even worse because Alves was constantly open calling for the ball but ignored because Thomas can't pass to the left.

 

Last week him and Page were driving forwards with the ball quickly from deep, this worked.  I thought he would use the same tactics, insane that he didn't bother tweaking it all game despite it falling apart.

An.ok player but I think his ceiling is only mid championship.  Like a poor man's matt grimes

He’s a very talented player and has a great future ahead but not with this fraud of a manager.  
Oxford’s game plan was very simple, they closed the passing lanes to midfield.  They let our defenders have the ball as long as they wanted it but locked up Paige, Braybrook and the wingers.  With the slow pedestrian style of football Martin has played everywhere he’s ever managed it’s so easy to play against.  You either press the back line and they give you the ball - higher risk incase we actually break the press and get away - OR you block the passing lanes and stop the more dangerous attackers and midfielders from getting the ball so those poor ball playing defenders give you the ball back.   Sammy looked poorer today but that’s all down to poor tactics and the worst manager in English football.  If we move the ball forwards at pace and work through the lines quickly his natural game will take over and he’ll look outstanding.

his worst game for us today, played far too high up but seemed miles off the pace of the game.

Worry a little bit for Braybrooke. He isn't suited to this weird high and wide position he has been taking up for a lot of the season, and with Lundstram in, he isn't going to get too much time in the deeper central role which his skillset is more geared towards. If Chaplin gets fit, i think his position is likely under a bit of threat.

Well looking at the physical development of many of our younger players, I don’t think he will.

Struggled today a bit. Page is starting to outshine him the last few weeks. Definitely a player in there but struggles with the physicality.
