If going tonight id advise not to buy any food or drink. That will hit club hard also, eat and drink before.

I have never bought any food and don't buy booze at the ground. Think i got a Hot Chocolate once. Does that make me bad fan?

Most the people going tonight are not going to give up their Bovril.

They'll probably be organising collections outside the ground to assist with KP's financial struggles.

It’ll get postponed with the snow, unsafe conditions outside the ground for the 35 Leicester fans attending

You joke, but hit a bit of ice on one of those Zimmer Frames and its game over.

Scenes when the club uses the weather as an excuse to call this one off tonight lol

It's sweet you think the club has more power than Sky.

Like let to be the lowest attendance in 12 years and it’ll definitely be the weather (which as Cosbeh said, it’s not like we haven’t been cold before). It certainly won’t be the first formal boycott called in living memory(?).

Empty seats will have Aiyawatt dreaming of Manchester City again…..

Just seen a lorry full of crushed ice being delivered to the stadium. Make of that what you will

Never get why people do anyway. It’s extortionate and it’s these people who miss a good 20 minutes of the game either side of half time, going down to queue and getting back up late. Even as a kid, for me it was chocolate and drinks from the shop down the road at the corner of Filbert Street and actually see the game!

Ashamed to admit I was going to this tonight but weather has sealed the deal to now not go.

I’m sure those at the top will bury their heads in the sand and use the excuse of the weather for the poor attendance number - thus rendering point of the boycott pretty redundant. Could have done with a milder evening.

On to the next protest.

With the power of AI now would it theoretically be possible to upload pictures of the 4 stands and ask it to count the number of bodies?

If you cropped the stands fairly accurately so they didn’t overlap then it would give a fairly good estimate of possible.

I mean given the number of people saying they were going to go but not now due to the fact it’s cold (I.e aren’t actually supporting the boycott), the club are in their right to use that as the official line I think.

It would be funny to see the result of that. AI struggles with simple things so it will likely say there are 50000 or something lol

On the flip side, as someone similarly posted in the other thread - would I have braved the cold if we were flying at the top of the league and being run well? most likely. The wider situation contributes to it I guess, not just the weather.

You could simply just use a different night game stand picture

...but would those people have gone if the club wasn't in the mess it is in? If you are not going because it's cold, when in rosier times that hasn't impacted the attendance, then you are still sending a message tonight - even if you are not intentionally supporting the boycott.

I'm similar here. Was 50/50 on boycotting initially. The ridiculous level of performances put out, the cold and stupid kick off time has swayed me to join. Nothing will change until something is done

Of course (as both these replies are making the same point). Obviously the boycott is linked to the club being in turmoil or it wouldn’t be happening.

My point was simply, that if people are specifically saying they aren’t going due to the fact it is cold or whatever the reason is, if the reason is not the principle of the boycott, you can’t really then accuse the club of using the narrative that it is because of the cold, people back at work/school etc. As that is literally what people are saying is their reason.

Club provide the actual number to the council, who you can FOI to.

Yes this is true, Leicester City Football club are not obliged to answer FOI's but the Council as public body certainly are.

(ah just read they don't have it, in which case yes they'd refuse it lol)

Far too late now for tonight but I was thinking for a future night game if everyone turned on their phone torch at 15/30/45/60/75/90 mins it might get more traction.
the point being we need a light shining on the goings on at this club
