Marti said he was tired and his calves were cramping. He needs to be given the day off completely. I didn’t know he even owned a farm 1 19

Ricky P will obviously sit this one out, too, and probably best to leave out Nelson as well, given his injury record and our issues at CB. Would hope Page, Monga and Aluko will start and that other youngsters will be in the squad. James should be nowhere near this game. Send over 1990s Melinda Messenger and Maya Jama to give him all over body massages to keep in the best mood for then Cov game. The boy deserves the best rest he can get. 2 1

MC Prussian Posted 9 January Posted 9 January Well, godspeed to whomever Cifuentes is fielding tomorrow. And just because it's Cheltenham doesn't mean we should take this lightly, but professional. Are the players up for it? Maybe we can string a series of good results together –a draw at Coventry, and wins against Wrexham, Oxford, Charlton. That'd be a big boost. But then again, one does never know what Leicester City FC shows up. One good game, followed by two, three disappointments. We've been stalling for too long. Or one good half, followed by a bad, sloppy one. We've been so inconsistent so far this season. I want to see more from the manager and the players. We lose this, and Cifuentes' job is on the line once again. 1
FosseSpark Posted 9 January Posted 9 January we havent had one good game. you cant count the west brom game as good. we stank. 4

Leicesterpool Posted 9 January Posted 9 January Just looked at webcam of nearby Tewkesbury, no apparent snow present if it has already melted away.
Devonfox1884 Posted 9 January Posted 9 January My mates that live up there say it’s fine. Only issue may be sub-zero temps over night tonight - last week they were provided with covers etc by the EFL as the game against Crawley was on sky which helped them get it on, but don’t think they currently have the same items at their disposal for this one.
Leicesterpool Posted 9 January Posted 9 January Hopefully the trains are back to normal by tomorrow morning, nothing moving out of Birmingham New Street at the moment going west.

Rubbersoul Posted 9 January Posted 9 January (edited) Don’t see Evans in the training video they released but Cover is involved. I remember Cover playing in a cup game under Maresca against Birmingham. Think he was RB & inverted into midfield. Did quite well if I remember correctly. Not seen much of him since though Just looked and completely forgot he was out on loan last season. Played 19 times for Port Vale & scored 2 Edited 9 January by Rubbersoul 1

The fact you have mentioned the need for it is a sign in its self. I used to get really cranky on matchday, now nothing. I've come to the conclusion that it's just not worth it and currently they aren't worth it. Put it on the radio in the background and get on with your day. Or better still forget the Radio and just l.check your phone once every 20 mins or so. Edited 9 January by Guppys Love Child

Aleksz Posted 9 January Posted 9 January Yeah just watched the latest training video - wouldn’t expect any surprises. Only “youth” training is Monga, Page, Aluko, Cover, Wanya and Silko Thomas. Think you can actually see Evans on the further pitch with the U21s.
filbertway Posted 9 January Posted 9 January Ohhh it's gonna be like when Rodgers played "kids" but basically he selected the players based on their size rather than their actual ability. 1

Reminds me of Maresca randomly picking Raikhy for a few games. Pretty sure that was just down to his size & being older. Now struggles to get a game at Morecambe. 1
Craig Posted 9 January Posted 9 January I've just arrived down here and until about ten miles away there was snow everywhere, but you wouldn't have a clue it'd been snowing here. It's 5 degrees, drizzling, and looks like the game is in little danger given they've got a tent to protect the pitch from being frozen. 2 1
cruzFOX Posted 9 January Posted 9 January What I don’t understand is I’m sure Marti and his coaches are watching the videos back with the players. Can the not see what they are doing wrong? It’s all there no mystery! they should be able to put it right now. Of course no two games are the same but they should be able to adapt by now and find solutions to winning consistently. If they can’t win then secure a draw. Mental focus should be dialed to max by now we are mid way thru the bloody season.
DJW1 Posted 9 January Posted 9 January Crystal Palace are waiving their right to 45% of the gate receipts at Macclesfield. Perhaps Cheltenham could do the same to help us out 😃 3
