What's your thoughts on why Lorenz is still in the U18s despite being prolific? Surely there's no benefit to keeping him back from the exposure of U21s? 1
Lambert09 Posted 6 January Posted 6 January I think this game will be a good indication how close to the sack Marti actually is. If he goes semi strong, it will show he feels a bit of pressure if he fully rotates my guess would be he feels completely safe 1
Ian Nacho Posted 6 January Author Posted 6 January Statistically these are one of the worst teams in League 2 so it'll be quite telling if we don't go through comfortably.
ACF Posted 6 January Posted 6 January Vietes Cover Souttar Kevon Gray Aluko Skipp Page Silko Monga Wanya Evans Bench to be mostly u21s Hutchinson Motsi De Lisle Amani Richards Golding Ali 1

Reg Vardy Posted 7 January Posted 7 January Vesty and Thomas will start, Daka up front, Monga, Page, Begovic, Hamza, ….. 1
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 7 January Posted 7 January Would love to get as close as we can to an academy XI, other than maybe resting Jakub for the new goalie.
Pliskin Posted 7 January Posted 7 January Use this to experiment something different Begovic Aluko Okoli Nelson Thomas Ricardo James Skipp Fatawu Monga Evans

UniFox21 Posted 7 January Posted 7 January I don't want to see James, Fatawu, Ricardo or Nelson anywhere near this game 2
blueharmie Posted 7 January Posted 7 January Can't underestimate a team that is hungry v one that doesn't try . Honestly, think we're loosing this, because we are a team of losers at present. 2

If you're taking out the 10 then you need 2 cms that feel comfortable in the other teams 3rd without wanting to just turn and pass it back as far as possible. I'd probably go something disgusting but almost functional like Begovic Aluko Okoli Vesty Ali (Is he still a thing?) Choudhury Page Soumare Evans Mavididi Daka
Leicesterpool Posted 7 January Posted 7 January On my facebook history it came up with three years ago I was at Gillingham away. That was terrible match, Gillingham I think were struggling themselves and really lacked an attacking threat, whilst we were just hopeless. Luckily we somehow avoided an cup upset. I sadly see this game pretty much the same.

Maybe Wanya or Silko on the wing instead? Maybe give James a rest too and stick Page next to Skipp
Ryy Posted 7 January Posted 7 January Vietes, Aluko, Vestergaard, Gray, L.Thomas, Golding, Hamza, Page, Silko, Wanya, Evans
FosseSpark Posted 7 January Posted 7 January 8 academy starters Have Ricardo, Stolarzcyk, Skipp, Fatawu, Okoli, Mavididi, Ayew etc on the bench just in case the academy lads are just as shit as they are. Begovic Aluko Nelson Vestegaard Thomas James Choudhury Thomas Page Monga Evans

Stan, do you think they should be rested because we need them for a relegation dogfight? Genuine question I am not being facetious.

Genuine question I am not being facetious. Nope, just that they're our best players and I don't want an already dour season tarnished with them getting long term injuries. I still want to watch them play, cos having a side without them in it in the league would be worse...

Part of me gets this, but part of me says the only hope we have of enjoyment out of this season is a little cup run.
