hinkfox21 Posted 28 January Posted 28 January Makes the Bidwell loan more realistic then from Coventry. Fills the LB position and experienced in this league. Not getting game time at Coventry

Tuna Posted 28 January Posted 28 January Lets face it, it will be whatever Wasserman clients are available on deadline day when they ring Rudkin up. 1

Sly Posted 29 January Posted 29 January I don’t think we will sign anyone. We are manager-less. We have no money. We have PSR deductions hanging over us. We are to be frank, a mess. 2
suffolk fox Posted 29 January Posted 29 January Loads of people will be disappointed on deadline day when we bring in no one. I think we may try and get rid of Soumare on loan, and possibly another couple of youngsters. Incomings will be zero. No money, psr isssues, and a clueless board don't help.
Dan Posted 29 January Posted 29 January In the midst of all the Aiyawatt interview it's been largely missed that we've had yet another joke of a transfer window. Carranza gone. Faes gone. Soumare going. All good things. But where on earth are the replacements? Even on loan?
TheGoldenGod Posted 29 January Posted 29 January I thought it was widely accepted we come out of the Jan windows weaker than we started to be honest....it's just who we are m8 1

The question that none of the media asked which I would have loved to see him squirm about would be in relation to our appalling business, or lack of in January transfer windows. Only signed Ryan Bennett in January 2020, nobody in January 2021, nobody in January 2024, only Coulibaly in January 2025 and looking zero like January 2026 too. When 20 and 21 cost us top 4, 24 nearly cost us automatic promotion and last season cost us staying up. If we don't get anyone in in the next few days we stand a chance of going down..... 1 1
Rubbersoul Posted 29 January Posted 29 January Remember when we were going for top 4 and the best they could do was Ryan Bennett on loan

We were bidding over £20m for Harrison then got priced out. Then it turned out we didn't have any money anyway.

Only 9 January signings since the title win. Only two of those were a success. Edited 29 January by AKCJ

What I hate is that for 4/5 seasons now, we hit December and the manager will come out saying we need reinforcements and that we will be looking in the market in January, which is just blatantly untrue. I don't know whether it's Top giving empty promises or the managers trying to force Top to put his hand in his pocket.
Edingleyfox Posted 29 January Posted 29 January There was a time when Leicester would target players and bring them in early in the window like Wilf or Harry Maguire. Now there is nothing until 48 hours before the end of the window. I remember a year ago RVN saying we would only be bringing players in that were better than we already had so we brought one player in on a 4.5 year contract that played about 4 games!

It's more to show that we used to operate well in January and regularly brought in decent players that actually improved us yet since Aiyawatt has taken control the only good January signing was Youri Tielemans on loan and you could argue that because of his poor form for Monaco that it was a massive punt. He is taking everything his Father did well and leaving it to rot. There is no process at Leicester City to anything. It's just Aiyawatt and Rudkin vs the rest. 1
