It don’t matter how well or not we play some of you just want us to fail. It was comfortable nothing special but comfortable. Palace goy humiliated by a tier 6 team yet we would swap our whole squad for theirs. I mean give our ream shit because they deserve it at times but not when we have just won with a reserve team !

We've done the bare minimum. The performance was not good. Often this season whenever we win, our performance doesn't reflect the result.

23 mins in the prem last season, can’t get minutes against a league 2 team when your strikers are dog shit, tells us more about the manager

Could it be that when bringing on a 16 year old (Monga) the idea was to have a bit of experience too?

Should be looking to offload Marcel this window so why cup tie him . Odd

Because the type of place he might go won’t give a toss about that.

Patson Daka scored his first FA Cup goal to help Leicester City ease past League Two side Cheltenham Town and into the fourth round.

The Zambia striker joined the Foxes after the club won the competition in 2021, and it has taken him eight appearances across five campaigns to open his account in the cup.

I genuinely read that initially as

A loss would only add to the despondency with no guarantees of any up turn in League matches and who is the saviour?

Yep, completely accept that an interim may come in and continue the decline, but i'm of the opinion that we should gamble.
I'd rather gamble on a brighter future than continue a proven path of decline.

Plenty of managers are absolutely miles ahead of MC. I'd bring in Mowbray as an interim, but there are lists of managers many have put forward in the replacements thread.

Technically he did join us after he won a competition. That competition being the Austrian Bundesliga.

2-0 up you’re talking about a striker, not an experienced defender on to see out the win

Must be a disappointment for a few here that we didn't trip up.

I can’t not want us to win any match.

Unfortunately Marti is just out his depth and despite the complete shambles above him, and the problems with the playing side, I do think that other managers could be getting better performances. What we are seeing is just spineless and dull. The stats shown on Monday about sprints and distance covered summarise it. A lack of quality is forgivable but a lack of caring and effort isn’t.

So yes a win is good but it just means we have to accept this bumbling along inconsistency for longer whilst he is here. It’s why the best we can hope for is mid table this season.

Cheltenham fans must be a tad disappointed even though they are two levels down they must have thought pre match that with leicester's form a cup shock was possible but they never turned up. Credit to the team, kept the Cheltenham crowd quiet.

We have that few quality players and that many games to play, that on this occasion it’s fine to coast through it. Win, clean sheet-

job done and move on.

Fair enough. I would prefer to see the season out and hopefully at least retain championship status and review the situation and maybe make changes then

I see as the team as a whole going into the last 20 minutes or so

I mean, we beat a league two team….. soooo…..

Positives were Aluko looks better than Thomas and with a run of games would probably our first choice full back, but chances are we won’t see him again now for months.

Page looked a level above, calm and composed on the ball, nice close control, some lovely passes and on time will become an excellent player.

Marti continues with his ridiculous subs, perfect chance to give Evans a run upfront today, and notably chooses Daka, but then Ayew too? I mean for **** sake, neither have a future at the club, so why do it?

Still as irritated and annoyed as ever, I’d much rather we have used this as a chance to experiment with Evan’s upfront rather than Daka and Ayew.

But on the flip side an opportunity to play two youngsters that know each other and it might take a pressure off, Ayew would’ve have higher expectations than Evans if Monga was dispossessed etc
