markko Posted 17 January Posted 17 January I have to smile sometimes and it has just happened. Marti this Marti that. Anyone would think we had prime Messi, Ronaldo and Mbappe on the bench or not being picked. We may lose but it won't be because Marti has left a load of talent out. Page would probably bably be the only one I would try and play today in that starting 11.
Sunbury Fox Posted 17 January Posted 17 January (edited) What this team lacks more than anything is physicality, energy and legs. This is why we are routinely steamrollered away from home. And yet he's basically returned to the same XI that was overrun at Sheff U, with the exception of picking the geriatric Ayew up front instead of Silko. Hard to see how this game won't play out in exactly the same way as that one. Edited 17 January by Sunbury Fox 2

Is it going to be a Sheffield United type performance where we’re going nowhere and get blasted early? or a backs to the wall where we crumble later on when we’re chasing the ball all over and fall apart? I hold zip hope, we’re going to get overrun in midfield with just James and Skipp trying to hold a line. We will have zero attacking threat as we’re stretched. Don’t ask me about the full backs. I doubt Stephy and Abdul will be helping out a hapless Thomas and a weak Ricardo.

Rinse and repeat for 90 mins. He’ll spend more time deeper than Reid or taking your Mavs space in the wing, not like Mav actually tries to move into space.
Popular Post EnderbyFox Posted 17 January Popular Post Posted 17 January How long does Ayew have left on his deal? Just wanna know when this overwhelming sense of tedium whenever I see his name on the team sheet will end 6

Shame Page isn't starting as Bobby been a little ineffective of late. Not sure Page is gonna weigh in with the odd goal here and there as Bobby does. Without a decent front man we need all the goals we can get.

Tommy Fresh Posted 17 January Posted 17 January How many times will we see Ayew get it in a decent position, do something okayish, then either have a good pass on or space to run in to, but instead go backwards and try to take on some more players 1

Edingleyfox Posted 17 January Posted 17 January I thought Hamza would have taken one of the full back roles maybe Jannik to add some experience and passing ability out of defence. Bobby Reid can score but too lightweight to start against strong physical sides.IMO can see the midfield being cut through way too easily
Muzzy_no7 Posted 17 January Posted 17 January There is absolutely no doubt I will be breaking my dry Jan today. Creamy pints with domeage @Tommy G

I know it’s a low bar but hes been one of our better players this season. Not what I want from a 10. He's not creative or attacking enough. All he does is hang behind an attack playing short passes a couple of yards forward to a doubled-up winger, or recycles it. He relies on James to actually create anything. Look at his 'progressive passes received' and touches in the opposition box for an idea of whereabouts on the pitch he plays. Edited 17 January by Bourbon Fox 1 1

Let's sick back and enjoy the fun!!
Free Falling Foxes Posted 17 January Posted 17 January Don't forget Cov have had a squad decimated with flu. Let them run at us like crazy for 60 mins, even let them get 2 or 3 goals up but then, we can pick them off at will as post flu fatigue sets in. Wohahaha.
oxtonfox Posted 17 January Posted 17 January Bar James and possibly Nelson were going to be beaten in every one to one. I fear for us. See you to tonight. I will not be watching the massacre and this absolute clown of a manager until he does something completely different or waves goodbye. 3

It’s the fact that Marti doesn’t have a plan A, let alone a plan B etc. I can’t think of a more limited and basic manager, I’m including the likes of Levein/Sousa, he’s that bad. 1
