Funny, that I thought the reaction to the goal was a subsconcious, inadvertent piece of unity between players and fans. 

 

Nobody was interested. Nobody saw it as a success. A stench of failure, of depression, of aimlessness. It's just all pointless until the club goes bust and we get rid of this fool owning us

I've been home and away for donkeys years. Rarely miss a game. I went to Moscow. 

 

Yesterday I had totally forgotten we were playing and missed the game. 

 

The club and the playing staff have become so dislikable that I'm struggling to generate the interest I always thought was a given.

 

Not that it matters. The club genuinely don't give a **** about me and the other fans that go down. We're beneath them.

Can’t believe I’m saying this. Been going since 1983 and season ticket holder since 1990. But for the first time ever I’m wondering if I’ll bother going to the Oxford game. 
 

Live the other side of Peterborough so every game is at least 3 hours there and back. Never waned once but the current state of this club both on and off the pitch is demoralising.

This can keep going for a long time yet, the enthusiasm and desire from fans and players has completely gone. We’re all just going through the motions now.
 

Players and fans know this season is done, even if there is still that slight hope in the back of our minds of plays offs. We will slide untill some leadership returns to this club, but it is nowhere to be seen now and untill it returns in the form of a competent owner and manager, we’ll continue to drift aimlessly downwards. I’ve never seen a club so stale.

I think the apathetic nature of the fan base is a reflection of the apathetic nature of the club leadership.

Strange you mention Holloway.  

 

It really reminded me last night of a game at home to Colchester just before we were relegated to League 1.  We scored a last minute equaliser and Chelsea Dagger came on.  Literally we all looked at each other in the crowd knowing that it wasn't going to be enough.  No celebration, no anger, no emotion.  Just resignation.

Watched from home. Laughed when we scored, was embarrassed that we got anything from the game. 
 

I have no feeling of excitement, no passion towards us, I just feel nothing when I watch us. Didn’t even care that Cov beat us. It’s actually really sad. Football has always been a huge part of my life and I’ve never felt more disconnected from the club or the sport.

The attitude they showed yesterday in general was appalling. Wrexham were taking ages to take a throw towards the end when it was 1-0 and there wasn't a single one of our players in the ref's ear asking him to speed it up. 

 

Believe or not, I still think there's some in that dressing room who are arrogant enough to think they should be playing at a higher level and that's why they won't celebrate a last minute scrawny equaliser against Wrexham. JJ made some comments after a game earlier in the season where he said the players we've got are way better than the position we're in. It's actually the opposite- all the data says we've got far more points than we should have.

We've been crap before.  It's not much fun, but but you can get behind crap players playing to the best of their ability. 

 

This is different.  This is a moribund team punching well below it's weight.  Going through the motions.  As supporters, we can tell and why woukd you support that? 

 

Also, the clubi is so appallingly run that our demise is entirely self-inflicted and the mistakes of the past get repeated and I think we are resigned to the fact that they will continue to be repeated going forward which takes away hope.

We’ll be down to the bare bones so at least there has to be fresh signings to change the dynamic of the squad.

 

Vesty, Faes and Hamza are all overpaid and need to be loaned out (I’m sure there are more!)

I can't agree with your second paragraph.  The data is poor because the players are not committed and we don't have a coherent team, not because they are not good enough for this level.  Many have played at a higher level than this and the squad cost around £150m.  That's why it is a scandal that they are stinking out the championship.  Minds are elsewhere.
