King was asked how he has found the past week, since taking interim charge following the sacking of Marti Cifuentes.

"It's been really good. I couldn't have asked of more of the players, they've bought into everything we're trying to do.

"It's been busy. It came around quick and suddenly and you've got to be prepared and focused on the next game. A good week, but ultimately it all comes down to the game tomorrow."

Kingy was asked what he message has been from the club about his role as interim boss.

“Just try to stabilise the team while they look for a new permanent manager. There’s been no timeframe on it. We’ve just prepared for Charlton and that’s as far as I’ve been looking.”

There’s no way he can go with Hamza in midfield again. It’s too much to ask 17 year old Page to carry him through another game. It’s either Ricardo or Wantaway Winks or we are well and truly fcuked.

His passion and love for the club is clear to see hopefully some of that filters through to the players

If the new coach for whatever reason doesn't want him there, we should absolutely be making him an academy coach.

About time we had a manager willing to tell some of the willy pullers that play for us to pull their bottom lips up.

I mean we’ve seen in the past talking about coaching and translating it to the pitch doesn’t always follow, but King has always spoken well.

Meh, saying Charlton at home is a tough game gives these players a pass. What would he describe playing the top 3 away as.

When have you not seen a manager describe an upcoming game as tough?

No manager ever was going to say its an easy game its just a standard statement to show respect to your opponents
