God I hope the players turn up for him. I don’t know Andy personally but seems a nice fella, handling the egos and weirdos in our squad might be tough.

Don’t play Ayew and he’s already done a better job than Marti did in the last weeks.

I just hope that King has the nerve to drop some of the players that have been stealing a living for quite some time!

Even if that means playing younger inexperienced players.

That's much better news. When we lost him and Stowell, despite the strange celebrations on here that surrounded their departure, both were a loss to the fabric of the club.

Did he manager the two games before Dean came in? If so they were a waste, playing the same players, formation and tactics as BR.

If he’s someone to call out the players for their on field decisions then all the better.

If they pick Ayew and JV and allow them to play exactly the same way then nothing will change.

Both were part of a problem, not necessarily the cause of it. I understood the need and want for change at the time

Kingy came across brilliantly in his presser.

He said what was needed and did speak well. But Marti also spoke really well in the media but very rarely followed up with actions.

Is it recorded as a video to watch as well? Or just the quotes we get from radio leicester?

You can watch it on the LCFC website but you may need a subscription

Those games under Sadler and Stowell in 22-23 were shameful, absolutely no response from the players and arguably looked worse than they did under Brendan. I'd expect similar from this motley crew.

Really was a shame with regards to Stowell in particular, who had always been a steady pair of hands during interims. I think he had a 100% win record over 2 periods sharing it with Chris Powell? Like I say, probably reflected more on how rotten the squad had become overall towards the back end of Rodgers' tenure, but it's not like it's that much better three years later.

This is probably why he'll either be a very good manager or destined to be a number 2. Obviously, it's just words, but there's such a subtle difference in the way he calls things. He's extremely measured in what he says, not too up or down (wonder where he picked that up from) and I expect that same approach could be the thing that holds him back if he can't get that ruthless streak. Same kind of humility that stopped him being a great player (physicality too). Positional play, sense of awareness, timing of run etc. Up there with the very best we've had.

Just hope if things don't work out, he's given the support he needs to become a better manager (if that's what he still wants)

I hope he makes a few changes and formation, I don't really care who, just not the same old losers.

PS

Please play no balls around at the back from goal kicks

Season starts tomorrow

Those 2 games under Sadler and Stowell were as much about the club not having someone lined up. It's crazy to me that we were so obviously going down under Rodgers and they had months of warning, not only did they wait until 2nd April (!) but to not have someone lined up was criminal.

Saddler is an excellent coach. His and Stowell’s reputations were somewhat unfairly tarnished post Rodger’s and their two game stint. This is a boost for King.

There’s quite a telling bit in there when asked about Sadler.

Said he was loud and these players we have here NEED that sometimes and it can’t always come from him.

Kingy knows some of the shit we have and unlike the last 3 permanent managers isn’t sugar coating it.
