While the Commission’s findings significantly reduced the unprecedented scale of the sanction originally sought by the Premier League, the recommendation remains disproportionate and does not adequately reflect the mitigating factors presented, the importance of which cannot be overstated given the potential impact on our sporting ambitions this season.

HAHA **** OFF

Yeah, they're going to appeal aren't they? I can't blame them in a sense as there's no precedent of a club getting a worse punishment after appeal. If they claw back even one or two points, it could be a game changer.

Crikey, I started reading the full thing but it has more waffle than a fat Belgians breakfast. Drier than the Sahara and just as vast. No wonder it took so long, who pays for the costs of it all? Several professional people’s time for many weeks and a significant amount of Tea and Hobnobs consumed :dunno:

New signings, Point deduction finally confirmed. Just need a new manager and let’s end the season on a positive. Feeling as positive as I have most of the season despite being level with relegation zone.

The mitigating factors presented were (1) a positive trend in its finances, for which it got a point knocked off (starting point was 7) and (2) exceptional cooperation, which LCFC argued should get a reduction of 1-2 points.

The Commission said that LCFC's conduct didn't come close. Basically they kept changing their position that did nothing to help an early resolution of the proceedings. The Commission found that our "protestations of admission of breach were qualified and accompanied by myriad arguments that, in material respects, denied liability. As in life and politics, one cannot have one’s cake and eat it too. LCFC did not provide early clarity as to the competition law issues upon which it relied. LCFC breached its disclosure obligations. Quite apart from cooperation, LCFC manifestly refused to cooperate by not providing its accounts".

No additional point was added for that failure as a separate breach. So I can't see any appeal disagreeing with any of that and knocking off the 1-2 points we argued for.

And now they're running us into the ground.

This attitude isn't it.

This is how Forest went 23 years outside the top flight while calling themselves 'world famous' between defeats by Cheltenham and Port Vale in the third tier of English football.

Now their European titles are a pub quiz question and they're better known for being the most unlikeable club in English football and having a fat lunatic for an owner. They're probably two or three years behind us, by the way.

Never mind the past, look at how we can sustain it. We actually did for a good five years after winning the league. We didn't hang on to the past, we built a completely new and better team with the riches from the last. No nostalgia, just careful, thoughtful ambition. Then what happened? The care and thought went out of it. We went from a well-run and sane club to a clown troupe. Balls to being world class ten years ago if all it does is highlight how far we've fallen.

Glad it’s done and dusted, terrible news but at least we now know what we have to do. Let’s hope this galvanises the whole club and gives everyone some fire in there belly’s.

However I really really hope that most importantly we learn some big lessons as this can never ever happen again, we have burnt money whilst overseeing a monumental decline through piss poor strategy, recruitment and managing of finances. This has absolutely been our own making.

Got lucky again, but still puts us level on points with West Brom in 22nd (who are much better equipped for a relegation scrap than us) and is a new low in the clubs history.

Dare I ask how the KP Nutters are spinning this?
