Why is the club trying to drag this out instead of moving on?

Because they believe PSR = Please Save Rudkin (he's blameless)

Don't fancy reading the full report but is it fair to say that if we'd just have complied with filing accounts etc rather than arguing at every stage, we'd have just received 2 points for the overspend...?

Nah we didn’t get anything for that stuff, it was all entirely for the overspend

14. The Commission recommends to the EFL an immediate six point deduction to be applied in the Championship in respect of LCFC’s breach of the P&S Rules. This comprises:

14.1. the starting point of seven points based on the percentage overspend; and

14.2. a reduction of one point reflecting LCFC’s positive financial trend in FY24 as mitigation.

It is possible to place the blame of this on King Power’s running of the club and want change whilst also being critical of the Premier League’s clear double standards when it comes to the elite clubs.

They aren’t mutually exclusive.

I suspect a dereliction of duty by the top 2.  I just can't fathom how Top can see this repeated failure over the last 5 years and not look to change things.

Is he really just a Nepo baby and has NO business acumen whatsoever?  Rudkin has got no financial or acquisition decisions right since we first went down if not before.

Saw the 1st's minute of Top's interview last week, the guy is deluded.

Do whatever you can to stay up, support King or whoever in whatever way to make sure we survive.

Get rid of Rudkin, he's failed REPEATEDLY and acknowledge that much of the title win was down to Walsh, Pearson, Ranieri & Shakespeare.

The ONLY people responsible for this financial calamity is those 2 and shut the door to players.....they report ONLY to the manager.

Get on with it........

It's going to be interesting what the effect will be on this seasons relegated clubs, Wolves, West Ham? Notts F :fc:, in respect of Point 11 over the 37 months. One or two of the established clubs is likely to go down with unsellable players on massive long-term contracts.

It’s why clubs get parachute payments.

Club after club have been relegated but don’t fall foul of the FFP spends. Look at Southampton and even Ipswich for instance these  clubs have managed to move players and reduced wage bills.

In the written reasons it makes it pretty clear that the alarm bells were ringing in a season where the club had budgeted to sell a high value player ( so high it seems that no one was interested) and had built into its cash flow an 8th place finish.

Now that we have the sanction I'm looking forward to the accountability, full explanation, apology, and change of personnel so that we move out those responsible and bringing in competent replacements  🤔

Thought the foxes trust statement is the best they’ve ever done. Within the realms of not being kicked out of the FAB.

Did we receive larger para payments due to our previous good placements in the league ?

We didn’t avoid a points deduction, there was nothing in the rules about a points deduction for going into admin. Many clubs had gone into admin before us and similarly hadn’t been hit with a points deduction. We had the audacity to go bust and still get promoted (more than ten points ahead of the team in third).

Yes but the points deduction came in immediately after that. We dodged a bullet.

Can you dodge a bullet from a gun that didn't even exist at the time?

Seems more like deniability at the moment.

.Bear in mind  those “ good placements “ generated bigger payments so maybe not parachute payments but those good placements were well rewarded

How can you say the deduction has no impact on us with 16 games left to go? Just because it’s left us out of the relegation places on GD now, does mean that is going to stay the case. We are awful, a one man team who is now out injured. If they were doing as you say, with us in free fall on the pitch, they’d have waited until later in the season or the end of the season.

I do agree we play like a 1 man team.
I think 6 points is lenient for cheating. We should have accepted this in the premier league and not had this drag on a while.

6 points gives us a chance to stay up. We do not deserve to though, we lost at home to Oxford and Charlton.

No accountability at the top, dire management from directors, manager who was a nice guy by all accounts but ultimate proved useless, and players who are vastly overpaid and think they are  better than others. Our formation and tactics remain the same regardless of any opposition and we have conceded in 20+ games in a row and still change nothing.
We deserve to go down off the pitch and as a result we play like it too.
