I think Rowett didn’t want the job but has taken it as a last resort . 
 

He openly admitted on tv he had applied for the Watford & Blackburn jobs but was overlooked for them both . Watford gave their job to Will Still’s brother who had only won 3 games in Belgium .

 

He said the Leicester job was a good club but a huge challenge for someone to take on but he didn’t say he wanted the job like he did the others.

Well he wasn’t as he didn’t want to commit to the latter and there is nothing to suggest he applied for the Watford job

Only Rowett being on Sky Sports saying Watford is an attractive job & of course that would be of interest .

That could have been to make us increase our offer to him

it's like employing Cooper in the Prem bottom of the basement, easy option, clubs finished, the tele tubbies could do a better job than Rudkin and Top.
