He absolutely was a good choice at the time. Almost the only choice.

If he couldn’t do it, no one was going to.

Then we should have kept Marti - who had a much better record, even in his his last 6 games and much better record in his last 10.

The 'great escape' can still be on..

You know what - i laugh at this.

But dump Rowett and go Rogue - anything is possible. Go out all attack and try to score 3 each game and just cling on. Just go crazy. I'd rather do that than have 1 draw and 2 defeats in out last 3 scoring 1 goal.

IMO Danny Rohl would have got this squad to the play-offs even with a points deduction.

You know what it's like in any company when you have a shocking boss, everybody goes through the motions looking for them to leave or a way out.

This is no different.

Yes, but if boss after boss after boss etc is rubbish then there’s probably other problems.

I'll admit it - I wanted him (if Pearson wasn't able to do the job).

Obviously I got that call completely wrong. He's managed the club exactly the same as the failures who came before him.

Makes me question if our 'managers' are even in charge - feels like they're told they have to play the 'Leicester' way (despite it being found out years ago and not having the players to do it).

Its not by chance that its not changed since enzo...then cooper..then RVN...then marti... then king...then rowett... exactly the same system, with the errosion of decent-ish players leaving. Then we have been stuck with players that should of left but was not been prepared to take wage cuts to leave and those dreadful overpaid players were responsible for the last 2 relegations and then the one coming in 7 days...

Literally nothing as changed..its bonkers

I don’t know whether Rowett thought West Brom would lose in their game after ours, be he sounded (interview) so relaxed and not a care in the world.

Are those the lies that Rudkin told you? They picked him because they couldn't be bothered to do their job and actually search for a manager.

Like whom?

We will see a few go but I fear we will still be left with the likes of BCR, Thomas, Hamza, Okoli, Vesty, etc

I think Winks will go as someone will pick him up.

Cooper was probably the last 'proper' manager we signed. And even that was a dodgy appointment for a variety of reasons. Lots of what i heard about his handling at Forest in the PL showed a very week character.

Ruud was a star who fancied a go, but even Man U knew he wasnt up to it. Marti was I chancer who a genuinly think tried hard, but his QPR record raised alarm bells and there was nothing else of any substance. King isn't a manager and Rowett is a disgrace to Football.

This team NEEDED a good manager. Not someone who was in bed with the Man City obsession, but a good man manager who could tactically adjust and get the best out of this lot.   I was against a few that probably we should have gone for. Its very annoying to know we actually interviewed Wilder but in the PL there were others we could have secured historically.

Sadly, we've actually employed people in these roles who simply aren't good enough. I don't buy for one minute that no one could have done this.

Not sure being the only choice makes you a good choice.

Unless there's an organised protest in the west stand, I will never enter the stadium whilst Bob and Luke Thomas are paid to play football to the same standards I could at their age.

Ward and Coady were in that list too.

2 down, 2 to go

If you bring in managers who have poor record their as much of a problem, Cooper had a poor PL record, Marti and Rowett had poor championship records and RVN was a novice.

The manager recruitment has been woeful.

As opposed to persisting with King.

King was 90 mins away from being a world beater, just like Daka…

I think, despite 13 years in the job, Rudkin doesn't know how to identify then approach a manager.

All of the appointments suggest the agents of managers approached us.

The only non agency appointment which pre dates Rudkin was Pearson, who birch approached.

We could’ve had Rohl last June, with Bibbo and Powell.

Board didn’t wanna pay.

We could’ve had Corberan instead of Pooper.

Board didn’t wanna pay.

I'm baffled at his changes to do ah. First waiting until 65 to make changes. And secondly bringing on Aluko. Hardly throwing the kitchen sink at it.

I heard an interview with him recently where he was saying Ruben Amorim was right to stick with the same system despite it not working.

Said a manager should not change formations or tactics, if results are poor they should just change the players.

Sounds like our board would love him...

He's crap at recruitment of managers and players.
